Inflation may be down BUT not here. Prices keep rising at this Jersey Mike's! $10.45 for a regular roast beef and turkey sandwich! Add a drink and chips any my bill is $16.32! In the quasi-immortal words of our near comatose Prez. Biden.... COME ON, MAN!! I used to come here on a bi-weekly basis. Prices went up, I dropped back to monthly visits. In the past couple of months, the prices have changed at least twice.
Prices have gone up but the service has gone down!
The service was TERRIBLE. They are so UNDERSTAFFED.. Register person is filling to-go orders, handing out to-go order, taking to-go orders, finishing sandwiches AND finalizing sales (but barely). WAY TOO MUCH! Going between food to orders to register, she must have changed gloves 7 times while I was there. This slowed down the whole line. Sandwiches at the slicer backed up 7 deep!
The slicer was doing their job taking orders, cutting breads, meats & cheeses. The Grill guy is doing his job. The MANAGER, is just in the way. Not running a register, not working on a sub. No apron, so he wasn't gonna get dirty. He looked at the bags for to-go orders only b/c of the massive back up.
I waited 15 minutes for a cold sub. I saw 2 hot orders in front of me get taken, made and cashed out before my sandwich was made! That never happens. I saw multiple orders come in from online get made while my sandwich just sits there half done.
Instead of paying Danny DeVito for commercials, how about spend the money to pay for enough staff so people don't wait 15 minutes for a 16$ lunch. I might as well go to Chilis and have their 3-for-me. It would cost the same, including a tip, have a hot meal and I'd get waited on instead of waiting for...

Read moreI called to order a chicken Caesar wrap on my way to catch a flight at Norfolk International Airport. A young lady took my order and told me that it would be ready in 10 minutes. I actually arrived 15 minutes later because of an accident on my route. When I arrived I gave my name and mentioned I was picking up. The 3 people standing around called off three different items ready for pickup but none were mine. When they asked what I ordered I told them it was a chicken Cesar wrap. No one had a clue what I was talking about. But low and behold sitting on the board waiting to be made was my ticket for the wrap. I asked if the order could be made quickly since I was headed to catch a flight. Without so much as an apology for my order not being ready I watched a white male black girl and black male walk to the back kitchen to talk to someone. Then I had the pleasure of watching black male that I assumed was getting ready to make my order walk at a snails pace with an attitude to the grill as he grabbed his gloves to prepare to make my meal. I kindly advised the staff it was ok and they no longer needed to make my order. This was the worst display of customer service I have seen in a while. Not only did I not get an apology for my order not being ready but when I expressed time sensitive situation with me having to catch a flight no one cared no one moved at a pace that was apologetic or concerned about time that was already wasted. Now because I no longer had to to go anywhere else I have the pleasure of flying until 11p without food. Thanks guys....
Read moreThis was just pure unprofessionalism and if my children weren’t present I would have said a lot in person for this to be understood. I stood and waited 5 min while after my order was taken both ladies decided to have a conversation with there assumed friend who walked in after me before making my order as I was the only person left at that current moment before her arrival. Took her order took 3 more as a group walked in after her and then proceeded to make my order. The bread I chose being the first customer before any of the above mentioned ppl came in was not available for the group that entered after the friend yet two giant subs were made with that same bread for her order and mine was incorrect bc they decided her order had priority being a former employee (also assumed from overheard conversation). I do not deal with blatant incompetence so a refund and a salad is fine by me but it’s a sub shop. It really isn’t that hard which makes it that much...
