2 stars only because the intention and follow up did occur . I called to inquire of a whole tres leches cake . I wanted to order one for my mom’s birthday and the tres leches cake came recommended . Spoke with one of the managers, Celia, who said the orders come from their Norfolk location and they only had 1 in stock but should be getting more later on in the afternoon, which would be more fresh. I was promised a phone call back around 12:30. I did not get a phone call so i called around 2:30 pm . The guy on the other line did not understand me and hung up on me . I called several times after and explained to him that the manager was going to call me about a tres leches cake etc. He then proceeds to cut me off and say call the Norfolk location for that and if I’m waiting on a call from the manager then just wait for her call . I explained my conversation to him again with the manager that the intention was to notify me and place a cake aside for me since i live closer to VB and they were expected to get a new shipment. He then says I’ll just text her and just wait for her call . I disconnected with him and a few minutes later the manager calls me and says the order didn’t come in and she has notified her employees to let her know if their truck comes in today or tomorrow . She promised that i would get a call today or the latest tomorrow. I told her thank you and then a few minutes later she calls and says her truck is expected to be there in 15 minutes.i told her to please hold one for me and my husband can be there in that time frame. She said of course and next thing my husband gets there and the cake hadn’t arrived . He waited there for maybe 20 minutes and then was told by another employee that their driver is running errands and for him to come back tomorrow . It’s a shame . I wanted to actually buy this cake for my mom but the back and forth , the rude hang up on the phone , the smart remark to just wait for a call, and then the “truck driver will be there in 15 minutes “ and my husband waiting there for a good amount of time to just be told to come back the following day was too much of a hassle . Thank you to Celia for making it seem like the service was there but i have chosen elsewhere . Won’t be coming to this restaurant for anything anymore . I have had it once and the food is ok . Nothing spectacular and their food is overpriced . You can find much better service, food , and...

First of all, Merry Christmas! I thought maybe prices have gone up or something because it was Christmas Day and suddenly realizing after a long day that we didn't prepare for dinner. decided to treat ourselves and order out. We got the Seafood Nachos ,Nachos, Horchata. Andale Arriba, and Churros. Was a bit surprised when the total was $100! But hey, it's Christmas. Both the drinks were very good, the Churros tasted a little more like fryer oil than I like... but it was clean oil at least lol. well nachos were good but I'm surprised that they were a little small. I could have kept eating nachos but there was too much topping. also a little surprised that $30 nacho was going to fit inside one normal sized foam closed box... also because I got the seafood nachos and they didn't ring the spinach very well, my nachos were basically mush.... really my wife got Chicken nachos ADD shrimp. So expecting a lot of protein on those and it was disappointing. Am very grateful, but very disappointed and not sure I'll go back. Further disappointing after hearing that Jessy's was kind of set apart from the rest of the Mexican-American crowd.

This is the second time we visited. The first time they had only been open for a couple weeks so I could understand why the staff seem confused, the kitchen was out of things, wait time lengthy and the food subpar. We were excited for the place to finally open so we decided to give them a few months to get the swing of things then return.

We had to leave disappointed again. This time with empty stomachs. When we first walked in there was 2 staff and 4 tables seated. We were told to wait to be seated. We waited awhile. Once seated we noticed 2 tables walk in after us. They were seated. We hadn’t been greeted yet but I could understand it was a lot at once. Then one of the staff gave us chips and salsa and walked away. Greeted the other tables after us, got orders from both tables, delivered their beverages, made their alcoholic beverages, delivered them as well, and we still have yet to get anything to drink or water.
