Walked in and no one greeted me. One of workers working was leaned over on the counter and I heard him say "another hour of doing nothing" while he was on his phone. My pick up order was not bagged for me. Prior to pick up, I called to ask for my bread guts on the side and the guy was totally rude about it and said "we make the sandwich or we don't" after explaining what I wanted he reluctantly said "I'll let them know" this has literally NEVER been an issue any of the other times I've called this location or any other location. When I went in, I asked another employee what a better way to ask for that was, and the tall, loud man decided to butt in an answer when no one was speaking to him. He had a very loud tone and was telling me they aren't sure that's even allowed... I told him I had never had an issue before and he told me "when there isn't a manager there people will always do it because they don't know if they can or can't" I mentioned his attitude and tone in which he told me he's "very black and white" Our conversation was not constructive and he just seemed to want to argue and talk over me about how it's called "bread guts" and they don't know if they can wrap it on the side for me. I've never had such an issue over bread, in my life 🤣 I'll drive to another location next time instead of going here.
This is my least favorite JJ to go to. The staff is always very unpleasant. I recommend ANY other location over this one if you want to enjoy your experience and food. I don't see myself coming back to this location for a while. Please educate the staff on what is allowed and not.
Edit: I spoke with the manager and he let me know that he made sure everyone knew the policy on the bread guts. He apologized for his workers behavior. Thanks Alan! I'll give this location another shot!
Edit: have tried this location twice since my original review and frankly it just isn't as great as the other locations in VB. I ordered two sandwiches for delivery and only got one, when I called they got the other sandwich made and sent out but it just seems like this location is constantly forgetting things or having issues with the order. I prefer the Holland location and will gladly drive farther to ensure I get friendly staff and my food...
Read moreI work about 5m from this JJ's and used to order regularly (when the Frenchie was still a thing) but have not much lately because the service is terrible, they forget the kickin ranch nearly EVERY time, and it usually takes about an HOUR!
I can deal with the wait (not that I like it) so long as I'm able to keep working and don't have to go anywhere, but not bringing my kickin ranch, no sir.
Today's order: I ordered a sandwich and 3 tubs of kickin ranch. As usual the driver did not bring the kickin ranch.
I called the store and they said the driver would bring it out in 10-15m. 30m later, when the driver still had not shown, I called back.
I was told the driver left for the day (thanks for letting me know while I'm starving). The woman on the phone offered a refund which I begrudgingly agreed to (the sandwich is boring, whole reason for the order is the kickin ranch). After putting me on hold she came back and said the driver was already paid the (undeserved) tip, so she would have to give store credit.
As I will simply NOT return, store credit is unacceptable, but she told me she had no other option. I asked to speak with her superiors at which point she abruptly hung up the phone.
I've since filed feedback on JJ's website. I will not accept being ripped off nor forced to return to a store that very clearly does not value the customer and I highly recommend...
Read moreWhen I’m paying $20 for a sandwich and we are your only customers, I’d expect a little better of an experience. On 1/19/24 we went to our local Jimmy John’s to try it out, I was pretty disappointed when I got home and my food was incorrect. As shown on the ticket we wanted to substitute tomatoes for onions, and we paid $2 for cheese. Most might say “just pick off the tomatoes” which of course we did, but when I have Jersey Mikes, Zero’s, and even Subway across the street, the only thing setting you apart is service. There were two male workers in store on Friday and at the time we were the only customer. Within minutes (maybe less) they forgot the specifics of the sandwich and gave it to us “how it comes”. Ordering my food was awkward to begin with, not the most welcoming service from the employees, and it was wrong. Next time we are going across the street to the...
