I usually go to the on base location but I had a birthday offer and I think it has to be done with the app. I ordered ahead and arrived a few minutes before my order was supposed to be ready. I wasn't even acknowledged while the cashier finished with one customer and went on to the next in line. When she finally did ask if I was there for a pickup order, while I was clearly standing in the area for pickup orders, she seemed very confused and perhaps partially my fault because I said my last name not noticing the app said use my first name... she didn't find it and had that oh well kind of look about her. She's either poorly trained or lacking training. There was one young lady seemingly taking it upon herself to make sure everything was being done. She was the one who eventually helped me. There was a man in what looked like a manager's outfit who seemed more like just a worker and showed no interest in my order or helping the cashier who was doing probably the best she knew how. On to my order. My birthday offer was a side item and I chose a chicken egg roll that I ordered with my plate. The egg roll wasn't even dropped before my order should have been ready. My order was finally delivered to me nearly 15 minutes after the app said. The young lady who seemed the only one really interested in taking care of my order offered me and gave a second egg roll as an apology and also offered her apologies for the delay. She has asked the cashier to make that offer to me but she didn't seem to grasp what she was suggesting. I also asked about the teriyaki chicken on my order, if it had sauce on it. The lady who otherwise really did do well here said it was on the side. It was not so all I had was cut up chicken... The food itself was average at best. The time to get my order was ridiculous. I watched at least half a dozen people order and get their orders in the restaurant while I waited. I will finish by saying I hope this is not the standard here. My experience was nothing shy of disastrous. I'll go back to the base when I need something quick but probably not to this location. It's a place I won't say do or don't try. If you do try it I hope your experience is...
Read moreBeen going to Panda Express for over 10 years now, and last evening was the worst meal I've ever had there. Where do I even begin. 2 orders. Drive thru. 4:40p. 06/09/24 in Virginia Beach, VA, Laskin Rd.
Meal order #1: Plate with Beijing beef and Orange chicken, with fried rice. While there were quite a few pieces of orange chicken, around 11, they were old, hard and chewy. The Beijing beef was not Beijing beef--it was beef and broccoli!. Or more like broccoli with no beef. Literally four tiny little slices of beef and tons of old, brown/black broccolii with an aftertaste. Rice was fair with an over-abundance of carrots.
Meal order #2: Plate with NEW Hot Orange Chicken and Teriyaki chicken, with fried rice. Received only about six pieces of orange chicken!! Why only 6 for me and 11 for my dining companion? I have never. And they were soggy on the outside while chewy on the inside. The teriyaki chicken that used to come sliced nicely was in pieces and chunks and shreds. Fatty pieces mixed with dry ones. I used the teriyaki sauce, but of course it's not warm. Ugh. Rice was same as other meal. Meh.
I checked my receipt, still have it, and it clearly says "Beijing Beef." Weird. And all of this as prices keep going up. Don't know if I'll...
Read moreMy family and I arrived at this location at 8:28pm. As we were getting out of the vehicle, I notice one of the owners/managers/cooks staring at my family as we were getting out of the vehicle. She sent one of the young employees over to the door to lock it. The employee motioned my family toward the drive thru. There were no posted signs indicating that the dining room closed early...but ok. We get back in the vehicle and proceed to the drive thru. Once we started to place our order, we were told, they didn't have sesame chicken, so I stated double on the orange chicken. I was told there was only enough orange chicken for 1 order... ARE YOU KIDDING ME! One of the most popular menu items and 30 minutes until closing. My entire family planned to order at least 1 order of orange chicken. The cashier attempted to offer other food items that were left over...my family and I left and went to Chipolte. I'm not sure if we were racially profiled or this is a regular practice...but either way unacceptable. I hope locals stop patronizing this...
