I can honestly see why no one is in this place. My first mind said don’t go in, but then I thought it was Halal. When I went in there was an Asian man sitting behind the counter. No one was inside. It was 830 mind you and on the door, it says that their place closes at 9 PM. I asked him a question. He said no our food is not Halal but also we are closed. Even though the signs clearly said open. Interestingly enough when I walked out and I looked at the door. The hours said 9 PM. Excellent! After ordering their fried catfish and shrimp combo platter with a side of potato salad, I was astonished and pleasantly pleased with my food. The catfish was crunchy on the outside with a light batter and plump and juicy inside. The shrimp were also lightly battered and delicious. My portion had 3 large filets of catfish and 5 shrimp. The staff was very accommodating, prompt and polite. The food was served very promptly and piping hot. I most definitely will return as the prices are very reasonable. This was the best Seafood Kitchen I've had thus far. Along with my fiances shrimp platter & crab cake, I got the coconut shrimp with collard greens, added a side of Mac & Cheese and clam strips from Doordash. Everything that was order was received and it was hot. I LOVED the coconut shrimp with the spicy chili sauce. Everything was golden brown & didn't taste like it was just soaking in oil. It also tasted like they cared and changed the oil because everything tasted like it should it didn't tast like oil or grease at all. We will be ordering from here again.
