Upon entering this smoking establishment, the owner came to our table (A party of 6) and asked hastily what we were drinking. I stated I would like water to "start" as well one of the designated drivers stated all she would be having is water as she was responsible for us getting home. The owner then stated " well in this establishment we only give water if you are buying food..." then proceeds to ask the others about what they wanted to drink..we were all taken aback and those who were about to order asked for clarification re: what the owner stated. The owner stated that she was the owner and that she was not going back and forth and that she was the wrong one to argue with (mind you, we just walked in the door..still puzzled as to why she is snapping on us) moreover she stated that it was not 95 degrees and that no one was dying. I walked out bc it was my friends birthday and didn't want to ruin it for her. The owner was being passive aggressive as I walked stating " bye..see ya later" I stated that She would not see me again. Within the year that I have started playing pool here the place has definitely improved a lot. Cleaner looking and a less dive bar environment. I will caveat by saying, the Bartenders / Wait staff have always been excellent. Very attentive and pleasant, even when it gets a bit busy! Pool table quality and setup has improved. Have also noticed that a few people that frequent the bar have changed their opinions about the place. Of course I have to state the obvious that it is a bar and it is still in its infancy for improvement standards. Too much storage out in the open and free space could be better utilized. It's a decent bar though the blonde bartender is a crook. She got me once before but thought maybe it was my fault but last Friday she got me again and I fully remember. I started a tab, so she ran my card and gave it back to me. I paid in cash, like I told her I would probably do. Next day I see a pending 30$(exact) charge on my card. Couple days later it goes through as a 45$(exact). 30$ with a 15 dollar tip. So now I have to settle it with my bank, but let's just say it's a shady bar and go somewhere else.
