I am only giving it 1 star because of the price of the banquet room. But as they say you get what you pay for. The banquet room was for a birthday celebration the friday after Thanksgiving 2 days ago and was booked more than 6 months in advance. The banquet room it was a big enough size for the function and we had specify # of tables needed. The room was supposed to be set up with white tablecloths, white chair covers and gold napkins and gold sashes. The day of the function we went to go decorate and the amt of tables needed was not set up and 90% of the white chair covers had stains on them. They were filthy, we asked for cleaner ones, the mngr stated they were clean, and he did not have anymore. The head table skirt was filthy with juice stains I guess from a function they prob had a couple of days before. The table skirt where the food was supposed to be, was also filthy dirty from dried up food dropped on the front of it. They did not take off the used linen. We had to pin the table skirt, to hide the dirty stains. And the sashes had grease stains that we had to go around the room and turn some inside out to hide the stains. #2 We was told we can bring food in because they provided the food racks, plates and silverware. When the caterer came with our food. The manager said, we had to provide the sternos to heat up our food. We was not advised or was told that we had to provide sternos when we signed the contract, but he had some that we could purchase. We had no plates, they had another functuon going on in the other room. They took the plates, that was in our banquet room and used it for the other function and we had to wait until they washed them before we could eat. After setting up the deco and food, someone noticed a ROACH. The pictures on the website are deceiving, because you can't see the dirty linen and see everything. I will never rent from there, but if you do, please ask to ck out everything before you sign...

April 20, 2019, we held my husbands surprise birthday party at this restaurant and it was our first time to have a party here. I know this is a popular restaurant where Filipinos have parties but we had a very bad experience. First of all the owner was so rude. So we had to bring our 3 tier birthday cake there the day before the party because we wouldn't be able to transport it on the day of. It was all in a box on a cart with the sign do not move. So on the day of the party, before the party the owner calls me and tells me the cake collapsed. The cake isn't gonna collapse if no one put their hands on it or moved it. A lot of people saw them and told me that someone moved the cake and the cart bumped into something on the floor. That's why the cake collapsed. Why would the damn owner lie and just not tell the truth. Not them knowing that we knew the other people that had the party at the other banquet and they told us the same story. The owner blamed his employees and he didn't want to take fault. He refunded us $200 but threw the money in front of us. The menu we wanted and paid for wasn't complete. The malabon became palabok and papaya salad wasn't even served. Yes we went to get the refund from the papaya salad. His employees who work in the front are very rude. I will never ever use this venue anymore if we threw out a party. Their food isn't the best either. There are better Filipino restaurants out there. The Lechon was too small for the price of $275... This place sucks. Never again will I hold a party here. My first and last. THE SO CALLED MANAGER/OWNER WAS VERY,...

On Friday, May 19th, 2023 at 12:30 pm I came to the "Susan's Kitchenette" place to pick up my order for $70. I ordered by phone prior my coming there. When I said to the cashier about my ready order and I need to pick it up, she unfriendly looked at me and pointed me with her finger that I should go to the long line of people before they help me. I was very surprised hearing it because I saw other customers picking their orders up without staying in a regular line. Two Filipino girls (one had an eyeglasses and another a very bright dark lipstick) who were selling the food and using a cashregister are both ignored me standing in front of them. They were serving other people and "no attention at all" about my order. They wanted me to be a part of that long line. I did not go there. After standing there for 10 minutes, I started ask help from different employees. They came from the kitchen and gave me the order. It is a very poor customer service from the people who selling a food. They are angry and don't care about customers. The Manager of this restaurant must terminate such rude workers and bring "happy faces" to the front...

We stopped here on our way back home from Virginia Beach. I was craving something different. We went in without knowing nothing about Filipino food. Stepping into the place, and food were there on trays for us to choose from. Price is good for 2 sides with rice options. They didn't have any label for food. It's a bit inconvenient since my husband doesn't eat pork (just preference). We randomly chose something and they gave us so so much in togo boxes. We ate at the seatings area they have. The place was clean and plenty of seatings. Even bathroom was nice and clean. Food turned out yummy and now I'm obsessed with Filipino food. Wish we can return there once day. I regret I didn't order more for togo and didn't try their desserts.

I really enjoy coming here. Overall, the food is pretty decent, the staff is so kind, and the atmosphere is exactly the right setting for food, friendship, and fun. Lechon Kawali is 5 🌟. Pancit is well seasoned. Occasionally, the braised meats could've used more time in the pot, so the meat is made more tender, but the flavors are right on. Lumpia had a good flavor with a big crunch. The dining room has all the condiments--ALL THE CONDIMENTS. I love that. There are almost always someone singing karaoke. That's the real deal. They have nice sized banquet halls for private parties. You will find what you want if you're looking for Filipino food. You'll find what you need if you haven't had Filipino food.

We usually really enjoy the food here but we bought suman and it was molded when we opened. Since my husband works with food regulations/inspections professionally we tried to notify the restaurant just for safety as a courtesy, not for refund or anything, but we were told it was not possible to have mold because they made it same day. Instead of trying to understand and apologize or ask for proof of what we had to make better judgment, they argued that we were lying. You can see the pictures of one of in the package to determine if this is acceptable to eat or should've been handle better when noticing the staff. Really unfortunate
