Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

Sorry Tropical Smoothie, this has to be your worst location. I ordered my usual and everything was watered down. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and Peanut Paradise, both rich with flavor. My Peanut paradise was missing 15% of the smoothie at the top, I was gipped part of what I paid for. I looked at the lady who gave it to me and she looked down knowing I was going to say something but I refrained. I waited for my wrap and took a sip of my smoothie to realize it was mostly ice mixed with a hint of peanut and banana. It wasn’t creamy from the yogurt, like it should be, it was stiff. Hints, the smoothie was mostly ice. Okay, I’m just going to deal with a less sweet, rich, and flavorful smoothie since I’m also eating a wrap. I get my wrap, 15 minutes later! Not busy for it to have taken That long with 4 employees on the clock, and BOOM MY WRAP IS GARBAGE TOO! When I open the wrap to eat it, the juice from the wrap, which should be a saucy consistency is watery Buffalo sauce and dang near no ranch leaking from every cranny of the tortilla. I took a bit and yes Indeed, the buffalo sauce has been watered down. STRAIGHT TRASH. I will continue to eat Tropical Smoothie, just not at this location. I hope corporate reads these, because clearly multiple customers feel this location needs a lot of...

My husband ordered a Lean machine with no sugar for me. When I got it from him it wasn't the usual redish color. It was a dull purple. I've gotten this drink several times from another tropical smoothie so I knew this wasn't right.

I drove back to the store and the woman, who I am assuming was a supervisor or manager told me it looks that way because I had no sugar in it.

-Sugar or lack of sugar doesn't change the color of the drink.-

She stopped me mid sentence when I tried to explain that I've had this drink before and it's never been that color.-she told me she would remake it.

She remade it and it came out the right color and right taste (though I'm pretty sure the bananas they used weren't ripe yet but I can get over that)

Just annoying that she told me it was definitely made correctly -when it wasn't- and it was ONLY because I asked for no sugar. The color was wrong and it tasted like watered down fruit.

Also, this happened back in January or February. This wasn't the first problem I had with this particular store.

A while back I had come into the store and there was no one out front. I waited in there about 5 minutes, still no one, so I left. Haven't been back there since this...

I went into this location today with 30 minuets before a movie to start . I ordered 2 meal combos with a girl at the front desk , I paid . She didn’t give me a receipt but no big deal , so i sat & waited . 5 min pass I get my 2 smoothies & 1 sandwich . So I figure the other just takes longer to make so I wait . 10 more minuets pass & the girl that rung me up finally asks are you waiting for something ? & I say yea my wrap I ordered . She goes to the back & says they’re getting it ready . 5 more minuets pass a guy comes out saying my wrap never got rung up . So I need to pay for it . I’m irritated because the girl that rung me up was so distracted talking to her friend while she was taking my order she missed part of it & caused me to wait extra long for my food & didn’t even have enough heart to tell me herself or make eye contact with me after she realized she messed up . I paid for it because I didn’t want to make a scene they make it & I leave . Lost my appetite because I was so mad & I didn’t even have time to eat it anyway before the movie was supposed to start ! because I was in there for 25 minuets , great job...
