DO NOT EAT HERE! READ IN FULL. PLEASE GO LOOK AT THE OWNERS NASTY ATTITUDE AND RESPONSES ON BAD REVIEWS BEFORE EATING HERE!!!!!! He antagonizes and goes back and forth with people as opposed to showing remorse and fixing the issue. HE does not respond to good reviews. Anyway I went on my lunch break and picked up a call in order for a philly with lettuce/tomato. $15 meal. Get back to work there is no lettuce, no tomato on it and BURNT bread. I call and ask about it and he says ok we will remake it. I do not get off until 5 p.m. so i cannot get there before then. He says BRING THE OLD SUB back so we can make you a new one. Admits they will throw it away but bring it back. NO fast food restaurant does this especially during covid who takes food back. Not mam i apologize for wasting your gas and time having to come back here so we can fix OUR error. I was told they do not need customers like me. I will not spend another dime here bc it shows the type of people you deal with. MONEY over customer satisfaction. PLEASE take your dollars to GREATER GRINDERS in norfolk they have MUCH better subs an attitudes. it is unfortunate bc this is the only zeros i cared for and never had an issue with until today. seeing how they handled it BEWARE. please do not spend here. Going after work to get my money back and will NEVER eat here again and will discourage anyone who asks from going to this location. called the BBB and health department today for them to look into this...
Read moreStopped by the Northampton Blvd. location on the way out of town specifically for a grinder sandwich. I hadn’t had a Zero’s sub in about 20 years and I was NOT let down by the experience.
I went in shortly after opening (around 1045) and ordered a whole grinder sub, all the way, to go for a road snack on my way back up North. The young man taking my order, who was in there solo, took my order, and immediately jumped back into the kitchen to get it going. Less than 10 mins later I had my grinder in the signature Zero’s paper wrap and bag and hit the road. I mentioned to the gentleman there that I hadn’t had a Zero’s grinder in about 20 years and how much I was looking forward to it and he let me know that I was about to have a great sub, which I thought was really cool and showed pride in his work.
The grinder tasted exactly how I remembered the last one I had when I was a ne’er-do-well youth and I was instantly transported back to the Zero’s oceanfront location circa the early 2000’s. It was a whole vibe. The roll was the perfect crusty exterior, the meats and cheeses were expertly toasted, yet somehow the veggies remained crispy, cold, and fresh. Such a bomb sandwich!
In summary, the food and the service were absolutely top notch! 5 stars all day! Thank you so much to the Zero’s franchise for the experience and...
Read moreI've been looking for a good steak and cheese spot since I moved to the area. Its my favorite food so I'm kinda particular about the taste and appearance. This one didn't disappoint. I ordered a half and it was really good size, at least a 8inch sub. I always order extra meat and cheese and it was a hefty portion. The cheese was melted into the meat perfectly . The bread was toasted nicely with a slight crisp.
When you bite into hot you get the good juice that leaks from it from being so fresh. First bite you'll see why it's soooo good. I also ordered some fries. The seasoning was spicy like Cajun seasoning almost a it was really good. They are straight cut fries and has some type of white stuff in the bag with them. (Could be parmesan, feta or some type of cheese. I'm not sure)
Only complaint.... The banana peppers however had some stems and when I ate some of it you could feel the hard pieces. I love have them on my subs and cooked in so I was kinda disappointed I had to pick alot of them off. So I have to say overall a 9.5/10 So definitely...
