Allure Bakery — Restaurant in Virginia

I found Allure online while looking for a dessert person for our reunion. I spoke with the owner several times and she was always very friendly and seemed to really have time for me. She offered suggestions and gave me a fair price. I was within her delivery range and she texted me when she was on her way. Sadly I missed her by 10 seconds as our vehicles literally passed in the parking lot, but my family had met her and thought she was delightful. I had ordered the lemon meringue individual pies and a pineapple upside down cake. The pies were larger than I expected and they were delicious. The meringue was high and firm and the lemon was perfectly tart. I served the cake the next evening as the pies were more than enough dessert for one night. The cake was 4 layers high and each layer could have been cut as an individual serving. It was moist and full of flavor reminiscent of my Moms cooking. The family loved it all and the desserts were the hit of the evening. I knew it was good when the room got quiet while people just sat and enjoyed everything. There have been other reviews that mention the price of the goods, but I believe this is one of those cases where you get what you pay for.
