America's Best Wings - Stafford — Restaurant in Virginia

My family and I have been coming here since 2019. This was our go to spot on a Saturday night. Over the past year or so the service and food has declined dramatically. The employees always seem dazed and confused. It’s not even bumping like it used to be. This place used to be full of customers on a Friday or Saturday evening. Tonight around 6pm, we ordered online costing $70+ for our family. When we got to the establishment we gave them our name and told them we were there to pick up an online order. The employee seemed dumbfounded even after we told them what we ordered so my husband had to go to the car and get his phone to show proof. Afterwards they brought out our food after a few minutes of waiting. Since they show you your food before leaving, I looked at my chicken particularly, Buffalo and garlic Parmesan wings and they looked dry so I asked for extra sauce for both. I was given the extra sauce. The manager was pleasant and gave us two sodas for our wait. After getting home to eat, I noticed the sauce was very clumped but didn’t think much of it since it was fresh, or supposed to be. I took a bite and the chicken was cold, had no flavor and tasted like flour, butter and nothing else. Disgusting! So I had my family taste to make sure I wasn’t tripping and they said the same thing. Just bland and nothing tasted like garlic Parmesan wings. I tasted one more time to make sure and no change. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager for which I was asked who. I said the manager on duty. I was handed off to another employee who asked what I needed and I said the manager again. There was some chatter and I was told he wasn’t available knowing I had just spoken to him 7 mins ago. I told them the issue and was told that they would have him call me back in 20 mins. I said okay or else I was coming back. Needless to say, after waiting over 20 mins, I didn’t get a call back hence this review. Due to time and my stomach being empty, I decided to doctor up and season my own food instead of waiting another 45 mins to place a new order I didn’t plan on paying for. I scraped the gooey sauce off my chicken, added it a teaspoon of melted butter and garlic I had to grate and seasonings to bring my chicken back to life in order to eat it. This is something a customer shouldn’t have to do. I am highly disappointed in their lack of customer service or concern. We will NOT be back. We have given them one too many chances. We don’t like our money or time being wasted. Take a look at my chicken before and after and let me know which one...

I went here at noon the guy working there was outside on his phone talking. I walked right pass him I figured maybe someone else was working there but I don't think that there was. He remained on his phone as I place my order and as he went back to make my order. I did not see him wash his hands I told him that the soda was flat and the lemonade was watery he checked it (barely) then said it's all fine (but he didn't taste the carbonation it was off). He said the lemonade was watery because that's how they made it. Then when I received my order he messed it up because he wasn't paying attention he was on his phone it was very unhappy with the service I got and the food. Even when I got back out of my car and told him the order was made wrong he was still on his phone and said now what's wrong. I told him that he had made the order wrong he said 10 more minutes and he can fix it. Again he was still on his phone though I come back and I realized that he gave me the same fries and just redid the sandwich.. do better America's best because that is...

Claiming to be America's Best Wings is a dangerous thing. It really sets the bar high. I must say that the atmosphere in this location wasn't the best but it was easy to get to and the staff were friendly. Seating was well spaced out and very easy to maintain social distancing. It also had a large selection of food options (not just wings). They were quick and it smelled amazing. To bad it didn't live up to the hype. The wings weren't bad just not the best in the area let alone America's best! The Old Bay Dry Rubbed bone in wings were dry...like overcooked dry. The teriyaki basted were good as were the honey lemon garlic bone in wings. The dipping sauce comes at an additional cost and the carrots/celery were sparce and not even edible. Rubbery and tasteless (ended up tossing those out). Over all I would say they are good and deserve a second try to test out their other options but if you want really good wings ... you would be better off elsewhere.
