Avoid eating here if at all possible.
Amber R. was our server and she was very unpleasant to say the least. You will know her from her cheetah print book in her apron. This book is the only character to a cheetah that she shares, because service was very slow. Attitudes of all staff encountered was generally poor.
We were celebrating a silent birthday (our birthday girl doesn't like the singing stuff). Two in the party arrived before me and ordered frozen bar drinks. I arrived with no greeting and joined the table. I was there for 10 minutes before we observed any staff anywhere in the dining room aside from the bar tender. We watched as their frozen drinks sat at the bar melting. The bartender wasn't busy and was simply chatting with the few that sat at the bar eating. After another ten minutes the drinks arrived with an overly moody server. they were supposed to have the gummy sharks in them and had none. When asked about it the server could only shrug her shoulders. I simply went for a fountain drink in hopes this would be an easy feat. The server seemed to be frustrated that after I placed appetizer orders that I wanted them put in while we made final dinner decisions. After all I didn't want it to all come out at once.
It was hard to get refills on fountain drinks and water. When we asked about ordering another frozen beverage, we were told that the blender had been cleaned for the night and that the only option would be on the rocks as the bar was closing. I asked if they were closing as I hadn't heard last call, and she said no they were still open but only serving certain drinks. The server offered a beer on tap because that's comparable to a frozen drink eh?
Our salads and appetizers arrived via two different people and we asked both for silverware. We got none. Finally I walked over to the unmanned host stand and tried to locate something to eat with. I then went to the bar and asked the server for a fork. She said that they were all dirty and probably in the dishwasher before she went back to playing on her phone. I then asked the bartender for a fork after standing there for several minutes. I got a few extra because none of the neighboring tables had a fork either.
Dinner arrived, it was mediocre at best. Mashed potatoes were cold, and not in a sense of being out too long, but more so like just dropped from the refrigerated prep bag onto the plate. The server never checked back after delivering the food.
The table that arrived after our food did waited a long while for drinks, and to order, and to get their food. Once their food arrived, it was cold, and they had nothing to eat with.
Apparently, they were closing at 930 PM because they were short staffed. It was very clear with the low census that staffing was not the problem. Perhaps low attitudes were? We saw several couples come in at 9PM and were turned away by the hostess. One one occasion we actually spoke up and asked why they were being turned away if they weren't yet closed. The female hostess with curly blonde hair just rolled her eyes and said we are closed, and she was busy. Busy, although she was able to go to the bar and rant about me asking why she was turning people away. The bartender, out server, and who I presume was the manager all had time to gather and rant.
It was a struggle to get boxes to take the leftovers home. Honestly, we should have just left them because the food was subpar to start with.

Read moreAfter serving a bus load of people before we arrived, this location's kitchen was behind on preparing orders, not a big deal just a 20-30 min delay. However, what inspired this 2 star review, was when our food came out our loaded bake potatoes were missing a flavorful ingredient, bacon. When our waitress arrived to check on our satisfaction with the food, our comment of "where is the bacon?" was met with an explanation from our waitress that the cook said the restaurant had run out of bacon. Well, I doubt the cook can produce bacon out of thin air, so the two of us commenced to feast. The food was prepared to our liking and tasted delicious, but as we are enjoying our dinner the table next to us was served. To our shock, the cook is a magician, we can plainly see bite sized bacon morsels adorning the man's loaded baked potato. The dash of salt in our wound came when I inquired about this devilish occurrence, why our unloaded bake potatoes were not loaded, the waitress explains she too pointed this tragedy out to the cook and his reply was the equivalent of to bad, deal with it. Clearly the cook had a monopoly on the divine meat product and his greed kept him from sharing. Defeated and hungry we devoured our mediocre unloaded potatoes with only thoughts of bacon to placate our broken heart's. To the cook working Nov 3rd at Lexington Va, Applebees, you may have bested us this night but your greed has prevented your establishment from earning a more positive review. Tis not the most creative means of revenge but it helps sooth my soul from the lack of bacon...
Read moreYesterday, around 1:00pm my coworkers and I had lunch at this location. The server we had was nice, but she was waiting on a lot people so she couldn’t do much. We never received a refill. At the end we were asked if we wanted to go drinks. That was nice, but we needed the refills while eating. A lady with brown hair that seemed to be the manager didn’t want to take any tables, leaving this all on the one server. I would see the manager bring stuff out to tables throughout my visit. She didn’t seem friendly. It seemed as if she was having a bad day. We all have bad days, but as a manager you can’t let your bad days show. We know for a fact she didn’t want to take any tables from hearing what was said. She had a few people at the bar that she waited on. They didn’t seem to receive much service neither. If she’s the manager, I would suggest retraining or maybe a demotion. We all left a good tip for the waitress, because can we really blame it all on her, no she’s one person she can only do so much. You have cameras. I would probably review the entire day yesterday. The food was okay. I wouldn’t say the food being underwhelming is the cooks fault either. Who knows what stress the one individual is bringing on the entire...
