Arby's — Restaurant in Virginia

Never ate here in the restaurant but the pickup has always been excellent.

A week before Christmas and today I put in a mobile order but I arrived early and so I decided to stay and eat-in. Since I came in early my order had not come thru yet. The staff doubled checked my order on my phone and just went ahead and made it fresh. While they were making it my order popped up and everything was squared away. They offered me a tray since I was going to stay and eat and I offered. I came in around dinner time, a bit after 6PM and it is definitely very quiet here. The bathroom facilities were clean as I wash my hands before eating and the overall appearance and cleanliness of the restaurant was excellent. It's not a Ritz Carlton but you don't get that funky "KFC" feel. Not to throw shade but you all know what I'm talking about. I'd say it is on par with many other Arby's that I have visited across the country and this was definitely one of the finer ones. It's clean, food was fresh, hot, and fast. From the beeping sounds of the various friers from the kitchen to the periodic churning from the soda/ice machine, my experience tonight is peak Arby's dining experience. If I didn't have some errands to run I'd probably stay here a bit more and sip on some soda while I see the cars come thru the drive-thru. My guess is this location may not see a lot of actual foot traffic but more car traffic. But perhaps it's also a changing of the times after the pandemic that less folks dinein.

Over all, 5 out of 5. If you're traveling thru, give this Arby's a chance. Sit for a spell. Take a load off. For it's Roast Beef sammiches time.

Arby's located at the Chantilly Shopping Center is hidden away from the shopping center patrons towards the rear of this location, which I think is a shame. The menu and the food options are really classics. I really enjoy the Gyro meal, which is the closest to original and authenticity. Greek food is often a hard to find delicacy in Virginia, but knowing that Arby's offers such an option is what drives to get their version of the meal. In addition, the flavor is so good its hard for me to avoid purchasing it when I see an Arby's. The people are very friendly and offer additional insights as to what condiments will enhance my choice, which is good from a customer service perspective. Definitely, a fast-food business with mainstay in this location. But that's not to say their roost beef and burgers aren't good either, no fat from it. Their menu fits to whatever appetite you may have at the moment, but you'll definitely develop a favorite of you patronize the business. I would definitely recommend Arby's over other fast food chains and ask that you visit the Chantilly location - they might be hidden away, but the food and service week bring you back...

There are 3240 Arby's locations as of April 2024. After eating the newest Arby's burger offering, I've never felt more compelled to write about the Arby corporation franchise [burger] offering, not about this particular location.

** 1-star for Arby's burger and corporate decision to veer away from Arby's absolutely delicious * well-known freshly roasted, freshly slided roast beef sandwiches.

Order the burger at ~11:30am. The burger was dry and harder to chew than cardboard. Pairing the burger with additional Arby horseradish mayo sauce, delicious kosher pickles from Trader Joes, and organic ketchup from Trader Joes didn't help it make taste better and at $7.99 per burger, this felt and tasted like nothing less than corporate greed. In comparison, McDonald's fresh beef patty quarter pounder with cheese is $6.19 and is about 100 feet away from this location. Ugh, I wish there was some return policy like Trader Joe's or Costco.
