=10/17/24= Ordered online and arrived to get my order. Young lady came to the checkout counter with a not so friendly welcome. No interpersonal skills whatsoever. I gave her my name and got my order. The food was okay but disappointed that the portion for the stuff shells (3 shells) was insulting for $25. I can make stuff shells for a family for under $25. I have attached the picture of the $25 small portion (3 shells) stuff shells that Bella Vita sells.

6/14/2024 - ordered to go and the food was ready when I arrived. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Food was still hot when I got home to eat it. The make your own pasta was delicious as I decided on the clam pasta. Good customer experience.

6/6/2024 - Went here with my wife and child. They renovated the restaurant to look more modern. From the floors, the walls, the entrance and the menu, we were pleasantly surprised.We were greeted and seated right away. The server was awesome and the food was delicious despite the salty calamari. We mentioned the salty calamari to our server and he took care of it. Much appreciated to the server for his kindness and professionalism.

One disappointment was that Bella vita no longer served the fish tacos verified by the server. Apparently the fish tacos wasn't selling as much as the other food items in the menu. Bummer! Those were my favorite for years. We will miss the fish tacos. Overall experience was worth the outing.

8/4/23 - online ordering easy. Food was ready when picked up. Staff was pleasant. Belavita never shows the type of soup they are serving on the website so you gotta guess what soup you might get if you order it. Belavita prices have gone up quite a bit. A cup of unknown soup until you get it was $6 and I ordered the fish tacos appetizer (see disappointing picture attached) which is $18 for four small tacos (A change for how it was in the past). The fish tacos even came without the taco sauce. Didn't realize it until I get home smh. Unfortunately Belavita has lost a long time customer with these prices and small portions of food.

(A year ago - 6/22) Did an online order (ordered around 5 PM) as usual last week (week of 6/20/22). The email notification stated that my food would be ready around 5:37 PM. Arrived at 5:37 PM and my food was not ready. The restaurant wasn't packed with customers, but the bar was full of customers. It seemed that the restaurant was fully staffed. The staff stated that the food was still being cooked so I waited. 20 minutes later (after 6 PM) my food was finally ready. Essentially, I had to wait over 50 minutes for my food from ordering until it was cooked. I wasn't too happy about this because stayed patience. A manager never came out to explain and apologize. I've been traveling around Northern Virginia for a gig job and I also just wanted to get out Winchester, VA to explore different areas in the state. During my travels, I've been trying out different Italian restaurants to see which ones I enjoyed the most. I was in Manassas and Bella Vita Italian Restaurant happened to show up on Google since it was local so I checked it out. As of now, I've been to this restaurant three times. The first time and second time the experience was pretty nice. The staff was friendly and the food was great.

However, during my third visit, I discovered something I wasn't sure if I was okay with. Going back to my second visit on June 6th, the entire place was full and the only available sitting area was the bar. I noticed a drink that was on the side of the bar counter that was supposed to go out to a customer. I asked my waitress if this was a cocktail and they said no it was a mango mocktail. I thought it would be a good idea to make the mango mocktail and it's ingredients into a cocktail so I asked her if it was possible to request this custom order and they said yes. During my third visit on June 20th, it was about an hour before closing and I sat in a booth. It took a little while to get service. As I was reviewing the menu and their cocktail menu, I noticed that they recently added the "Mango Basil Margarita" on the menu. I had mixed feelings the moment I recognized it but I don't know if it really was a big deal since it was just a drink... I asked my waitress if they recently added this mango cocktail on the menu and they said yes... like about a week ago... I told her about my experience during my second visit and she said that was really interesting and she would let the manager know about it. I was hoping that the manager would come out and say something but nobody didn't mention a word. Nobody that I recognized wanted to acknowledge I was there at the moment. Almost like they were embarrassed or I just wasn't worth talking to. It was a little discouraging...
