Billy's Deli Cafe — Restaurant in Virginia

I walked in and requested for some tater tots. When I ask the gentleman at the register how long would it take, he told me 2 minutes. I then watched him grab the foam container and scoop old tater tots that were sitting inside a stainless metal bowl.

He approached me and says have a great day, I gave him a look and explained to him that they were ice....cold... not exaggerating.

He goes to say he will make me a fresh batch and I was just utterly disgusted that you would have a fast food establishment and treat people that way once they swipe there card.

I don't recommend anyone to eat here and this place needs to be inspected because there are multiple health violations that have been violated from the 3 times I've been there.

The bacon is super old, the eggs are super watery. The bagels are kept frozen and taste terrible when they toast it They never cut there sandwiches. And to top it off, the place smells and looks horrible rather dine in at 7 eleven.

Recommended not to go here....

I really wanted to give Billy's a great review. It's nearly impossible to find a great steak&cheese anymore. I found it a few weeks back while driving through Cherrydale. I didn't realize they where affiliated with the food truck. I went to the website last Saturday to find out when they closed for the night and got conflicted information. One place said they were open until 7pm. Another said the place was closed. I called and they were open AND they knew the website was incorrectly telling people that they were closed. Talk about a hole in the wall. Tippy's tacos out classes this place. Then there was the food. I ordered a hot dog for my son. A cheesesteak for me. And an order of fries and fried cheese sticks. The cheesesteak was petty unforgettable. Not much taste and the bun was over toasted for my liking. The cheese sticks needed to stay in the fryer for another minute or two and the fries were just ok. First of all, the bacon was old and stiff and they only put three pieces on there. The mayo was glopped in the middle of the bread. The tomatoes were so so, but I can deal with that if the bacon and the bread was fresh, which they weren't. I'm nitpicking, but the bread was facing the wrong way and they didn't even bother to cut the sandwich. Who doesn't cut a sandwich? Especially when it's to go. They didn't even apologize for my dissatisfaction, no empathy. I'm not writing this review out of anger, but disappointment. I'm writing this review because if you can't make a BLT, why should I trust you with anything else. I was a chef for many years.
