Ley me tell you a story about my 1st ever visit and the Bojangles!!... My wife and I planned a trip to Pigeon Forge TN for out 10 year anniversary. When we came down, we stopped at Buck ee's as we had never been there before either. It was awesome but super overwhelming for her. On the way home I wanted to stop and eat on the way. I saw the sign and immediately pulled in. Was greeted by smiling happy faces that were patient with us knowing it was our 1st time there. We ordered to go. While grabbing some utensils on the way out a gentleman behind us only ordered a butter biscuit. In my mind I'm like... am I missing something. So I went back and asked the young lady that took our order if there was anything on the menu I needed to have. Like if I left and I didnt try it I would have crazy amount if regret the rest if my life. To which she replied easily... "The peach cobbler, or the blueberry biscuit." I said "both!!!" Went to go ring out and the sweet young lady said "nope, it's on me, no worries!" At the same time she was preparing those, a couple of employees were ball dancing and just having a really great time in the back over by drive through. I absolutely loved it and encouraged it !!! The food was completely amazing!! Those pinto bean bro!!!! Oh my word!!! I should have also grabbed an order of fries just to know ya know. Honestly we should have just ordered one of everything on the dang menu but... we were driving lol. Either way, I look forward to the next road trip to Tennessee, I now know why Dale Jr. speaks so fondly of the Bojangles. That watermelon tea ain't no joke either!!! Y'all really were the icing on the cake of this...
Read moreOn Thursday, May 18th, I was fibbing home from work early and decided to hit bojangles. I checked their hours on Google and saw that the drive thru opened at 5 am. It said the hours had been updated by the business within the last week, so I was confident the drive thru would be open. I passed the bojangles at exit 19 to go to exit 7 as I needed to get off that exit to get home, and it was more convenient. I got to bobsled at 5:06 am and pulled in the drive thru. I waited over 5 minutes and even called it to ty to get someone attention. There were people inside. The drive thru was lit up, so at first, I thought maybe they were busy or didn't realize the time. No one ever came over the speaker, I finally pulled up to the window and stopped long enough to see there were people inside actively trying to ignore me. If you aren't going to be open, that's fine. You need to update your drive thru hours. They've apparently not done this since business's changed his during Covid because I stopped at this same location after work one day and got in line behind 3 people thinking they were open at 5 and they were not then either. At least someone was nice enough to say that management hasn't had a chance to change the hours yet. They apparently still haven't had the chance. They just approve what's already there. I was more upset this time as I had driven by an open bojangles to get to a more convenient one who said they were open. It's kind of ridiculous at this point. Just update...
Read moreI don't typically write reviews, but I do feel the need to warn people about blatant health code violations.
After an older male employee took my order, he started preparing my sandwich. I thought that something seemed off, then I realized- he wasn't wearing gloves.
As I tried to wave him down, he finished wrapping my sandwich. He then started sweeping all of the crumbs off the counter with one hand into the other- that was holding my sandwich! He shook out his hands and sandwich over the trash can before putting it in the to-go bag.
I'm still trying to flag him down, when I see him licking his still-ungloved fingers to pick up a fry bag from a stack. He does this 2-3 more times before handling the fry scoop, and I finally get someone else's attention.
I ask for a refund, and when asked why, I explain everything I've just seen. The man seems to panic a little bit, and keeps telling me, "I'll make you a new one." I say that I do not feel comfortable eating anything made in an environment where this guy was working. The manager handled the refund pretty efficiently, but I sincerely hope this guy is let go or rigorously supervised and retrained before being allowed to...
