If you buy appliances from this store buyer beware they use a 3rd party delivery company out of Johnson City That is absolutely horrible! We purchased a refrigerator at a price $2399 Which was discounted at the time of purchase due to a store sale. We purchased this refrigerator July 5. It wasn’t delivered until July 18. When this third-party company came to my house to deliver the refrigerator, instead of measuring my doorway properly, they held up a strip of fabric And said “it won’t fit.” When I ask them to use a measuring tape and Specific and correct measurement of the doorway to be sure they proceeded to measure my doorway incorrectly at 28 inches. I have a standard size doorway. I asked them to measure the refrigerator with the doors Taken off as had been suggested whenever we purchased it. Instead of doing this, they eyeball it and also said it won’t fit.
Proceeded to Raise this appliance back up on their platform and load it back into their vehicle and drive off with it. It was put in as an undeliverable/return In the system.
I spent the rest of my day in contact with various customer service numbers, the Bristol Home Depot store, and eventually received a call from Heather Price at the 3rd party delivery company.
She was apparently upset about getting multiple calls from corporate throughout the day following up on this mishap and instead of dispatching delivery back to my house, the delivery company continued to process as a customer return and took zero accountability for the incident. Furthermore, when I asked to have the appliance delivered on the 19th as a priority delivery, they weren’t willing to do that either and proceeded to inform me that I shouldn’t have made complaints and so on. Heather eventually hung up the phone. I do not have a refrigerator. When I called Customer service back this morning during normal business hours to see if there were any other alternatives I’ve became aware That further documentation had been entered on this case Stating that this was a customer return and To return this appliance, this further cemented Would be returned to LG Samsung, and Not deliverable to my home appliance. I have a bill yesterday for that refrigerator That I do not have that was never delivered!
I attempted to ask the local store if they were able to pick up from the Johnson city Warehouse Third-party delivery companies offices, and due to the status in the system of the order, they We’re not able to do this.
Beware if you’re doing business with Home Depot In Bristol, having things delivered to your home. The company that does their deliveries is very sketchy and this is the kind of thing they do whenever things don’t go correctly. They took accountability, they tried to blame the victim, and it resulted in appliances being paid in full and then not delivered. I will have to now wait up to two weeks for a refund to the credit card.
This process was failed on all levels. Photo shows my appliance being loaded back into their...
Read moreSo yesterday I visited this store because a friend of mine was shopping there. She told me that they had the rugs that me and my roommate were looking for. So on October 21st we went up there. We were over an hour away. Although we live local. We were an hour away at the time. When we got there we found the rugs in the bin where the the friend of ours said they were and they were priced at $107.00 But to our amazement we had three of them and a runner. When we went up to pay for them, we found out a much different story. The runner was $44. The rugs were $289. Needless to say, after 20 people standing around looking like deers and headlights we did not leave the store with the rugs. Being very upset is my roommate was because he was so excited to find the rugs we were looking for and that many to go in three different rooms and down the hallway and we're not able to get them after traveling over an hour to get there. So if that being said, he got on the phone with corporate. Supposedly they had called the manager of the store at the time and he would supposedly going to call us back. Well he did not so I myself got on the phone and talked to a guy name. Steve and Steve talked to his boss and well. Wouldn't you know it? We got exactly what we should have gotten the day before and I just want to sit here and say that this man made a difference in the fact whether we come back to shop there or not because before we weren't. But now with Steve taking care of the issue we will definitely be back there as we just moved to the area and are remodeling the home that we live in. Steve is a great man. A great manager at the Home Depot at this location and his boss both should be rewarded for being great. Managers who stepped in made it right and did not want to lose customers. It's a rarity these days to have such great people who want to make a mistake, right. Don't know who put the carpets or rugs in those bins that well. Quite frankly didn't belong there, but someone did and should have been honored the day that we were there. But nevertheless it was all made right. So I recommend this Home Depot of Bristol, Virginia for your needs no matter what they are because now I feel feel confident that they'll do whatever is necessary to make sure that thing are right. So long as you are right because see customers can be wrong. Managers and stores incorporations can be too. But in this case store manager did what corporate didn't do. Thank you again Steve and to your boss for...
Read moreMy wife and I purchased a front loading Samsung Washer and Dryer from the Home Depot in Bristol, VA in September of 2020. Home Depot sold us an extended warranty through Asurion. Our washing machine started making a horrible noise on the spin cycle. We filed a claim on June 22nd, 2022. The repairman told us that it will cost more to repair than to buy a new one and that he was recommending that they buy us out for the purchase price. Each week that went by they refused the buyout and kept wanting to order parts. Finally in the middle of July, Asurion had National Platinum Service look at the machine and they said the same thing. Asurion was adamant that it be repaired and parts were ordered. The parts went to the wrong place and new parts were supposed to be ordered. We found out today that no one has ordered the parts and we are still in limbo as of August 31, 2022, over 2 months since the claim started. The washer is limping by with low spin only. Home Depot says that it is out of their hands even though they sold us the warranty in store at the time of purchasing the machines. Asurion will not return a phone call, we have spent hours on the phone trying to get them to update us. National Platinum Service has been as rude as anyone I have ever dealt with in my life. They also will not return your phone call. They only tell us that they are busy and don't have the time to return calls even days later nor do they have any idea when or if we will get parts. The supervisor for National Platinum Service in Kingsport, TN will not answer the phone and her voice mail is full, no messages can be left. From the looks of it, Home Depot took my money for the warranty and got their cut, Asurion won't do anything and National Platinum Service in Kingsport is completely useless and rude. Basically, if you have no where else to shop but Home Depot you might still consider just doing without an appliance because if yours breaks down you are on your own with nothing but frustration. My wife is at her wits end, we have spent countless hours on this for nothing. I am out the money for both the washing machine and the extended warranty. I highly recommend anyone other than the Home Depot, Asurion, and National Platinum Service of Kingsport, TN for appliance sales and service. All parties have been completely incompetent in all aspects of their business with horrible customer service, 1 star is too much, but it is the lowest that I...
