I went to the Captain D's on Hull Street Road. I have been there several times and received good food and good service from the drive-thru window, however tonight (January 26th 2024) I ordered a three piece fish dinner. The baked potato look liked someone had touched all over it, not to mention the foil around it was all torn and the WHITE potato itself brownish (OLD LOOKING) on the inside.. My hush puppies look like someone had took a piece off of each one! I was so disgusted when I got home and opened my container of food. You have got to be kidding me if Captain D's think is okay! I'm so frustrated because when you pay anywhere close to $15 for a meal you expect to get a decent meal, and I got this little nasty scoop of coleslaw on the side in the container. The slaw dressing ran all over the fish.. Captain D's should be ashamed because I am sure anyone who ordered food inside or through the drive-thru that was of another color persuasion probably didn't have this problem at all! Their food was fresh and was edible. And that's because people are so busy trying to cheese up in some people's face so they're going to make sure they get treated properly but they treat their own people like trash and sling garbage at them! this is why so many areas of Richmond is in the state that it's in. All people should be treated fairly no matter your background, skin color or economic status and until Richmond realizes that then so many people's heads will remain buried in the sand! They just don't get it! Its really sad and this is why certain cultures will never ever grow or exceed because they're always trying to hold some people down and then treat others with favoritism. You better wake up, because no one's handing out accolades and awards for cheesing and kissing up and then treating others wrong. All people should be treated impartially and receive good food and good service. I will say.. that the lady at the window had a phenomenal personality and was very kind. The food on the other hand, was embarrassing! There is a Captain D's right across the street from where I live and I always come to the one on Hull Street Rd, but...
Read moreMy husband Paul and I always say we need to say something about how great this place is! We don’t really eat fast food, but sometimes you need to have some fried fish food. The food never disappoints and what honestly draws our heart to this place is the PEOPLE! We fell in love with a lady who always recognizes us and pays extra attention to our dog Flash. She even shows us pics of her sweet pit bull. We look forward to seeing her smiling sweet face everytime we come. But when we don’t, we realize that literally EVERYONE we come in contact with is kind, courteous, professional, and hardworking. Where does this Captain Ds find people like this these days? People that seem to love what they do, where they work, and want to provide EXCELLENT customer service? Who knew you could get so excited to go to a fast food place through a drive through? These people make it happen. We ❤️ you guys. Thank you so much for ALL your heart work and amazing attitudes. You make ALL...
Read moreShout out to the staff at Captain D's North Chesterfield! At my parents request we had Valentine's lunch here. From the beginning to the end of our experience the staff was friendly and helpful. Our meals were served hot and quickly. We had the catfish feast and lobster roll dinner splitting two meals between the three of us. Serving size was plentiful. Staff came by the table twice to see if we needed anything and that we were happy with our meals. The story doesn't end here. My mother lost her hearing aid at some point during our day so I retraced our steps looking for it. When I went in and asked if it had been found, the staff moved the table and booth seats where we sat, helped me look around the bathroom floor and even offered to search the parking lot with me. Unfortunately we didn't find the hearing aid, but my heart is filled with gratitude at the kindness of the employees. Thank you!! We will be returning for...
