I haven’t been here since I was in high school. I’m 64 now. I won’t go back again. Maybe they are known for pizza and subs. But not lasagna. Was absolutely terrible. After each bite, I keep feeling sick. Like I wanted to throw up. I finally got through half and had to stop. Took it home. Warmed it up, hoping maybe a fluke yesterday. Today, first bite and I felt sick. The taste is terrible. Threw it out. Paid 13 something for a lasagna that was just a size of a salad bowl. Not even filled up to the rim. I say maybe a half an inch high. Looked more like a casserole. Not worth the price. Go to Sal of victor in Williamsburg. Learn their recipe. Taste great and size is good at Sal’s. I eat all their lasagna in one sitting. The salad, was a good portion, but the onions were so hot, I had to remove most of them. I normally will eat all the onions. I love onions. It looked like white onions, unless I’m wrong. But white onions get old, they get hot. My husband was happy with his pizza. The med size was a great size and he ordered extra pepperoni and mushrooms. First time he actually got lots of pepperoni and mushrooms. Most place don’t give you really extra. To me the mushrooms tasted rubbery, but he loved his pizza. Brought home a meatball sub for my son. He said it tasted about the same as Harris tetter. So to save the four or five dollars difference, I just get Harris tetter subs. Was totally disappointed. I won’t go back again. It’s a very popular place. Lots of people were there. Full house. But it just not for me. Advise is to taste your lasagna and see what you can do to improve it. Picture Before throwing it out. After throwing it out. What a waste of money..

I was in Newport News for a work meeting in early October and needed to cater lunch for 24 people I had never met. Pizza and salad are my normal go to for these types of sessions and after searching the local area and reading reviews I settled on Dino’s. I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. After filling out the catering form on their website I received a call back shortly after on a Monday when the business was not open. The gentleman I spoke with offered some ideas, but I knew what I wanted based upon the size of the group. 4 large pepperoni pizzas, 4 large cheese pizzas, a ½ pan of Ceaser salad, a ½ pan of garden salad, and was kind enough to add some garlic knots to the order as well. Come delivery day a couple days later, everything arrived as ordered and on time. That included plates, napkins, utensils, serving pieces, extra sauce and extra salad dressings. The folks I was meeting with hadn’t been in the office in a long time and were not only excited to get lunch, but tickled pink that I ordered from Dino’s. This meal was the highlight of the session. The food itself was great. I really liked the quality of their pizza ingredients and the pizza sauce had wonderful flavor. The salad dressings stood out as well, especially the House Dressing… it was one of the best I’ve ever had! These guys made the process easy, provided a quality meal, exceptional customer service, and all at a good price. Nobody left this meeting with an empty stomach and folks were packing up the leftovers to take home. Next time I am in Newport News I’ll be sure to stop by and order again.

This is a review of the meatball sub and garlic nots. You can tell it’s a family owned business and I give them high marks for that. While the bread on the sub was crispy and wasn’t difficult to chew, (that sometimes happens at some pizza restaurants) The meatballs and cheese were good too. All foods came out fresh and hot out of the oven. They use a brick oven which is way better then the stupid rotisserie style, fast food, pizza places use. If you are tall you can see into the kitchen by the entrance and it was very clean and organized. The bathrooms were also very clean. The only thing to improve would be the marinara sauce. I personally know how tough it is to make marinara sauce. I could tell in the taste it was some canned marinara sauce. Canned marinara sauce isn’t a bad thing. I’d just suggest trying some other brands that don’t have the slit metallic taste. I like this place and would eat here again.

So I used to take my mom hear quite a bit before she passed ..she loved their lasagna and cheesecake..So tonight I took my Granddaughters and their mom there for dinner ..So 3 of us,wanted pizza and one of my Granddaughters wanted spaghetti ..so I ordered a large pizza and a kids spaghetti and two small ceaser salads ..the salads were iceberg lettuce tomatoes cucumber, and Cheese with ceaser dressing ..basically a side salad with cheese..We ordered a half a combo pizza and half ham and green peppers..When they brought the pizza it was half combo and half ham and pineapple. And no there's no chance I said pineapple cause my granddaughter can't stand it.. So after my one granddaughter had to eat by herself and over an hour and 15 minutes waiting to get pizza ..I asked to speak with a manager ..I'm 58 years old and have managed food service before..so the young man came over I'd say 23 to 24 at the oldest and I explained to him what had happened and and explained my granddaughter was very tired and was sleepy ..she's 6 and it was about her bedtime by the time we got the pizza..so he told me it takes time to cook it.well no kidding..so I politely ignored that statement and then we asked if they could cut a slice in half for my granddaughter cause slices are big. So he tells me they already took last pizza cutter back to kitchen to b cleaned that they were about to close I had to bite my tongue .. so still being polite I asked if there was something you can do like a discount or something for our time waiting so he says ok..bill was 59 bucks...they said they would give me a 4 dollar discount ..and then I was like really ..they gave me 8 off...personally I would have probably compted customer the whole meal but at the very least I would hav given half off the ticket..I did tip the waiter not his fault for the management's bad customer service..pizza was good..but that's terrible customer service and as much as I like Dinos ...that will be the last purchase...
