Dogwood Bistro — Restaurant in Virginia

We asked the waitress on 06/28 during the night shift to give us a few minutes because we haven't decided what to order at first, and then I waited for almost 30 minutes. The server didn't come back even though we tried to get her attention (she saw us but looked away and went to take another table order either to collect payments and put away dishes.) We seemed to be ignored, when we left I saw her came back to clean the table, even as we were talking to the receptionist desk on the night shift around 8:46. Forgetting a table, I understand as she was the only waitress for the night but to continually forget to give us the impression of being ignored is really unacceptable. I ordered the wedge salad and then the steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The salad was pre chopped iceberg, blue cheese crumbles, white onion and crispy bacon. It was not your typical wedge salad and was not what I expected. I ate it without complaint but would not order again. I ordered my steak medium rare, when it was served it was well done. The mashed potatoes and veggies would have been fine had I not sent the steak back. It took another 25 minutes to get a new steak which would have been fine, I wasn’t in a rush. Ate three times at Dogwood Bistro this week and the food was really good. I had the NY Strip Steak, Chicken Sandwich and the awsome short ribs that was seasoned perfectly and was served with mash potatoes and asparagus. Food was served quick and hot. The prices are quite fair for all the items on the menu. The staff was very attentive and ensured I had a wonderful experience each and every night.
