Don Chema's Tienda&Deli — Restaurant in Virginia

Ordered food online from this restaurant for the first time, never received. Upon calling, they claim no one can help me because they do not speak English and yet I called back the next day and they understood me when I tried to act like I wanted to place an order. I was told to call back after 11am for a refund. This restaurant is beyond crazy. If they run a restaurant here, customers do not know Spanish always so how can they say they only speak Spanish when 90% only speak English. When I called back and spoke Spanish and then they only spoke in English so they are lying through their teeth. They will hang up if you call back if you have issues, put a weird Verizon automated message on, and claim they don't speak English. Do not go here. Like others have stated in other reviews, I wish I had known this I would have never ordered from them. This place needs to be shut down and the people should be arrested for their wrong doings. I used Apple Pay, they could refund it! I'll be submitting this to the bbb and other law agencies. This place is no good...

If I could give negative stars I would. AWFUL AWFUL SERVICE. Rude attitude, incorrect food, and then they hang up on you. I am a pretty empathetic and understanding person, and I understand that there are issues with Uber Eats, but when someone calls your restaurant to inform them that a $50+ order was swapped with someone else's, and you scoff and say "Okay and?" and then put me on hold and laugh about the issue with your staff in the kitchen (I could hear you), until you then hang up on me, I have to speak up. At first I thought it was an accident, but when I tried to call back 4 more times and nobody answered the phone, this is a service issue. There was no language barrier, and there was no reason to be treated like this. I was so excited to get my food after being sick for days. Shame on you. Dedicated to telling EVERYONE how AWUL this place is.

UPDATE: They refuse to answer the phone now and I had to cancel my card to dispute the charge. I have since reported this info to the Better...

I do NOT like leaving bad reviews, however, we had a bad food experience. decided to try Dons Chemas since their reviews were good. I was excited to try a new place. When our food was delivered, the order was correct, the food was warm, the papusas looked as seen on the website, but the Papusas had some kind of nasty smelling odor. I decided to try my food despite the way it was smelling. The taste was exactly the way the Papusas smelt! They tasted the way horse manure smells. That is the only way to describe it. We made a very large order and it was a waste of $60. We will not be ordering from this restaurant in the future. The smell and taste of these Pupusas were very unpleasant. so...
