On December 8th, between 7:50 PM and 8:00 PM, my friend and I experienced an unsettling incident at this restaurant, which we had always considered the best hot chicken spot in the area. Unfortunately, the level of customer service we encountered was unacceptable and left us deeply disappointed. We arrived at approximately 7:45 PM, intending to dine in. The cashier, a man of Korean descent in his 50s, greeted us with a dismissive attitude and immediately told us, “You can’t dine in; we’re closed,” despite the fact that the restaurant’s listed closing time was 8:00 PM. His tone was curt and unwelcoming. While waiting for our food to be prepared, we observed another family enter the restaurant around 7:52 PM, place an order, and take a seat to wait. Following their lead, we decided to sit as well. Moments later, the cashier called our order number, and I picked up our food. As we brought our meal to a table, the other family was still seated, awaiting their order. At this point, the same cashier approached us aggressively, claiming that the restaurant was closed and demanding we leave, even though it was still a few minutes before the stated closing time. Despite our calm demeanor and willingness to comply with the rules, his tone escalated. When we expressed our dissatisfaction and asked to speak to a manager, the cashier became even more agitated. Shockingly, he resorted to yelling and used offensive language in Korean—a language my friend happens to understand. The term he used was highly inappropriate and deeply disrespectful. The situation worsened when he began yelling loudly in front of other customers, aggressively kicked the kitchen door, and punched it multiple times before storming into the kitchen. Both my friend and I, as well as other patrons present, were left shocked and uncomfortable. This experience was unacceptable on every level. I strongly urge the owner or management of this establishment to address this employee’s behavior immediately. Such conduct is not only unprofessional but also deeply disrespectful to customers. Sadly, this experience has completely tarnished our perception of a place we once loved, and we will not...
Read moreI’ve been to this Hangry Joes location twice and each time they don’t disappoint. The food comes out hot, fresh, juicy, and fully cooked. The staff are really nice and the place is very clean as well.
The first time I went it was on opening day. I got the chicken sandwich combo. The chicken is MASSIVE and the fries were seasoned perfectly and crispy. The sauce they have is also very flavorful (I got medium which still had a bite to it but with good flavor!) and the slaw which in general I usually dislike, but didn’t! It went really well with the sandwich and I ate all of it. It’s a lot of food and was very filling.
The second time I brought my wife and she got the sandwich combo and I got the tenders combo. Both of our meals was cooked and flavored perfectly. The tenders were big, long and juicy and covered in delicious flavoring (got the hot this time. Had some heat!).
The staff always greet you with a smile and as soon as I got up they asked us how it was and thanked us for coming as they wiped the table down.
I’ll definitely come back again and I’ll be looking to try the Korean nuggets! I highly...
Read moreGoogle reviews must be off. There is no way 100 people believe this food is that damn good. We had the chicken sando and chicken and waffles both with Mac and cheese. The sandwhich was very lack luster. The waffles were decent, but I would not be surprised if it came out that these were frozen waffles. The chicken tenders that came with them have such a salty seasoning that I could barely get two down before giving up. Thank God I got my sauce on the side because apparently Hangry Joe's is another restaurant that believes throwing mayonnaise with other ingredients makes a great sauce. There is nothing on the website that states the sauces are mayonnaise based. As for the mac and cheese, it Rivals KFC mac and cheese on a good day. That is not to be taken as a compliment. However, the mac and cheese that we had must have been a batch that was sitting out or in a heating pan for the last hour or two because it was extremely dry. If you have not had food from this establishment, I highly recommend that you go to the local 7-Eleven and get...
