Starbucks — Restaurant in Virginia

What a trip! I have been coming to this "Starbucks" for at least 12 years, its near my house, and like "Giant" food stores say "That's my Giant", well I say "That's my Starbucks". One of it's big appeals to me is the sociality of the store. Most people are willing to talk to you if you make the effort. The staff has changed so many times over the years, and I have made friends with a few. Though by and large the current staff seems upbeat, knowledgeable, willing to go a bit further to make sure your experience was enjoyable, and what you would expect. The store always seems clean, and professionally run. Tough to find a seat sometimes, especially at night, and weekends. The biggest complaint I have about this "Starbucks" is what currently is out front and deemed the sitting area. People call it by many names "The Zoo", "The Jail", and other names related to wrought iron décor. There was a very large, and beautiful 'Crepe Myrtle' growing out front. It had a 10 inch circumference which attested to how long it had been there. With a chainsaw it was felled, followed by a ton of beautiful grey concrete, and as stated prior, wrought iron fencing, and chairs...... I could go on. I’m new to the area and I recently took a liking to a specific drink from this spot so it slowly became a part of my routine after work.

Today I went into the store and a lady came from the back, shouting at me that the store was closed. Not only that, but she literally shooed me with her hands as if I was some unwanted animal. This is an absolute DISGRACE and not a way to treat people. Please replay the cameras for August 3rd, around 8:10pm.

There were no signs and the door was open. No problem if someone forgets to close the door, but I don’t appreciate a wild hog chasing at me and shooing me as if I’m a farm animal.

I had to ask this lady if she was using ASL because I genuinely couldn’t believe that a human was shooing another human being, I was hoping it was an interpretation for something else but it was not! I have never been spoken to like that in my life. It was absolutely disgusting.

She is of big build, short and her teeth were messy, she wore a black shirt. I’m not sure if that’s a good enough description but I am BEGGING the organizers of this establishment to RETRAIN that animal or consider replacing her with someone who knows how to treat human beings.

This is the closest Starbucks to my home and let me tell you, I'd rather drive to the Starbucks in Franklin Farm. The service here sucks. There's this one barista who has the worst attitude with customers and is so mean to me. I don't even know who she is. She responds to me with a criticizing tone every time I ask an innocent question. Today, she made the wrong drink and I told her it was wrong and apologized for it when I shouldn't have. She made the wrong drink AGAIN and also for the third time. She had the worst attitude ever! It made ME feel bad even though it was clearly not my fault. I don't want to go after her and complain to her manager and get her fired or something because that's not like me. Instead, I'm choosing to rant here (: Another thing, they hire too many new people all at once and they mess up a lot and when you kindly point it out or correct them, the more experienced baristas blame it on the customer instead of helping the newbie.
