First Watch — Restaurant in Chantilly

Shyanne saved the day! i would have given this a 1 star otherwise. I love first watch and wanted to bring my partner out for healthy and wholesome breakfast. We got in line online and we’re at pretty quickly but it took over 10 mins for our server to greet up. Tables that were sat after us got greeted first and still we had to wait additional time for our server to appear. The tables that were greeted prior were right next to us but had a much more attentive and professional server. When she finally came out, she seemed to only want to take our drink orders and started to walk about when I mentioned we were ready to order. She took the order and delivered water. Maybe in my last experience I had an exceptional server but she didn’t pour the water like I had experienced before. She just put the water down and walk away. Again, maybe in the Leesburg store they go a little bit more above and beyond than this girl. When the food came out, it was incorrect. She mentioned she grabbed the wrong plate but pretty certain she put it in incorrectly because the order took a long time to come out. It’s better to say you messed up instead of trying to play it off like the you grabbed the wrong plate. Luckily we ordered a superfood bowl to share so I had my partner eat that while we waited for the correct plate to come out. The bowl was delicious and so were the items. The only negative I would say about the food is that my boyfriend initially wanted the French toast and wanted. Side of eggs but the server told him to get the trifecta which he went with but when he received the plate, it was smaller portion than the original. He would have rather had paid extra for the side of eggs. When he asked the server if it would be the same portion of French toast she said she thought so. When it came to closing the check we asked for a Togo bowl and the server said she would be back but then she was just chatting in the kitchen and I had to flag down another person to grab it. at this point my partner was very much over the entire experience and I wanted to treat him to a nice breakfast and it left him a little bit uneasy. The manager shyanne (don’t know the proper spelling so please excuse that) was the person who changed the experience. She quickly brought our Togo bowl and asked how our experience was. She saved the experience by listening to us and genuinely listening to our issues with the experience. I will be back because of her attentiveness. Thank you for you’re help and for turning...

This place gets very busy but we were lucky enough to go with minimal wait (Saturday at 9:15 am). About 5 minutes later, there was a long line with a half hour wait time. We know because we were seated right behind the cashier/front counter and we could hear the conversations at the front, though we would have preferred not to. It was no big deal because their service was great. Our server was attentive and gave us great recommendations since this was our first time dining here.

We ordered the avocado toast, traditional breakfast, million dollar bacon, and coffee. My husband really wanted his home style potatoes crispy, well done- almost burnt. I know it’s an unusual request (or not) but his potatoes were prepared as usual, not burnt. We didn’t ask for them to re-cook it or anything because it wasn’t life or death. lol The avocado toast with eggs was delicious and so was the million dollar bacon. The coffee could definitely be better as it has more of a sour note than anything. They probably use robusta beans.

One thing is for sure, we left First Watch feeling full. We had to walk around the shopping plaza just to give our body a helping hand digesting the yummy food.

There’s plenty of free parking because it is located in a shopping plaza. There are even free EV charging stations in the parking lot- you just have to be lucky enough to find an empty spot.

I'm not sure if this review can makes the restaurant improving. But I want to share the experience of visiting the place.

Very welcomed in the beginning. After receiving the foods, it was little hard to find or ask our server for any needs, didn't show up often. I also had few issues, but it was personal situation so that could be understood.

And followings are the review of this place.

Table wasn't cleaned some area, but it could be happened. coffee cup was not cleaned, but it could happened too, so I wiped with napkins myself. It looks like the server also saw I was cleaning the cup, but she didn't say anything about it. Avocado toast, the portion of avocado was only 70% than other First watch where I visited previously, even looked way less than their photo from the website. Avocado was not chopped evenly. It was just sliced and spreading on the toast. I should take photo of it. Traditional breakfast, the bacon burned too much and not flattened, usually bacon come very flat by using bacon press, but this time, no. Server didn't ask a cup for kid, so I also forgot to ask one in the beginning, but I needed it later, but I couldn't see my server until checkout. However, the server brought the check without asking.

Other tables customers looked happy and okay, however, I just felt that I honestly don't feel like to visit this place anymore when compared with other First watch...
