When I arrived at the DCA airport location, there was a wait at the hostess stand. When I got to the front of the line, the hostess grabbed her bag and left without saying a word, I guess her shift was done. No one replaced her and after 5 minutes a waitress yelled across the restaurant that I could take the empty seat at the bar. I sat at the bar for approximately 10 minutes, neither bartender made eye contact or greeted me in anyway. Finally, the gentleman next to me waived a bartender down to get my order. The first bartender (Ashley) took my order and relayed it to the second bartender (Lourdes) , who only managed to get my beer. No water and she forgot to put in my food order. After 20 minutes I inquired about my hummus plate and there was panic to work with the kitchen to get it out. As someone who worked in the food industry for many years and even at an airport, I know it can be busy and tough to keep up. However, no one ever acknowledged me or the mistakes being made. The woman next to me had to leave without her food and the man next to her received the wrong order, all of this would be fine if anyone bothered to make eye contact and smile. At the end I waited for another 15 minutes to flag someone down to get my check. They couldn’t find my ticket, because they had never actually rung it in... There was a long discussion about the missing ticket and I had to clarify that it wasn’t there because they never rang it in, hence having to go to the kitchen to ask for a hummus plate to be made. This was perhaps the worst example of costumer service I’ve ever experienced at...
Read moreIf you're searching for a reliable dining option at Washington Reagan National airport (DCA), this spot is a solid pick. I arrived much earlier than expected for my flight, giving me plenty of time to take in the experience. The food was satisfactory—not remarkable, but it did the job for airport dining.
What stood out to me the most was the staff. My waitress was Saba and I wish I knew the rest of the team's names. They were exceptionally organized and attentive, maintaining a level of efficiency that’s rare in such a busy environment. Despite the constant flow of customers, they managed to provide prompt service without making anyone feel rushed. Their teamwork was impressive, creating a calm and professional atmosphere that made my wait much more enjoyable.
The strong mobile connectivity was another plus, allowing me to stay connected and productive. The restaurant was also very clean, with staff continuously ensuring everything was in order. The ambiance was typical of airport dining—functional and straightforward, offering a comfortable space to relax before a flight.
If you're flying through Washington Reagan National airport, I highly recommend stopping by here. The staff alone make it worth a visit, thanks to their exceptional service and efficiency. I'll definitely plan to return on my next trip through...
Read more8am 9.14 the Black gentleman hosting seated us right away. He called out our table number to the ladies multiple times, but no one approached our table, no one acknowledged our table, offered water (not on the e-menu by the way), no one activated our table for the e-process or made sure that we were able to use it. We did, however, see them approach tables of patrons that arrived after we did. Was able to capture the attn of one server who said "you didnt order yet" to which we showed her the error msg. She called out our table number twice more to activate our table, instead of saving time and just writing down our order at that pt. 5.99 for the first round of coffee is a bit steep. The same Black gentleman that was hosting served our plates quickly, offered condiments, and brought me a glass of water. If he wasnt present no one would be served and I wouldve been parched. The food was good like the last time. Big serving of breakfast. The price is expected at an airport, but it was a lot of food. We spent a good deal of time balancing our food on the table bc the table was both loose and woobly. Again, Much Thanks to the guy!!!! We shouldve cash tipped and made sure he received it since he was the only one working, greeting and interacting with customers, even on his break. We didnt catch his name, but...
