Mario's Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Virginia

My husband and I took our 6 year old out to dinner. We ordered subs and he had a child's spaghetti with no sauce only cheese and butter. The plate that they gave my six year was scalding hot. Only after my kid touched it did she warn him it was hot. I asked for a completely new plate because it was beyond ridiculous how hot the plate was. Once we transferred the food over he tried to eat the pasta. Immediately he spit it out and said it was gross. I tried it and spit out the noodles. They tasted like they were coated in nothing but salt. I complained to the waitress and she shrugged me off and would not take it off the bill. We will never be back and I suggest you take your money somewhere else to get much better food! It should have been a clue when we walked in at dinner time and it was empty. ...

What nice and helpful staff and owner! I ate the veggie spaghetti and it was so delicious! My concern with vegetarian dishes is that a lot of times it will lack flavour and passion at other restaurants, but not here! This dish was packed with yummy flavours and vegetables, prices are very good, and I saw quick service too! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was so good-I received a big portion of food and was treated so kindly on my visit here! I came to take some pictures and left with an amazing meal!!! Can’t thank you all enough, and I’m so excited to try their other vegetarian dishes when I’m back in the area next. Great experience today and honestly it’s always a great experience here at Mario’s ! Today the waitress did an awesome job, I have to comment that she was the best waitress I have ever had and seen. I watched as she served all the tables at lunch time. She made sure everyone had what they needed, kept their drinks full and got them in and out for their lunch break . She even took care of check out at the register. She is a hard worker and it shows she loves her job and enjoys working with people. She was Very kind, polite and takes pride in her work. The food tasted great and my slice of pizza was huge. Had a dinner salad also and it was fresh. Thank you and I recommend Mario’s to my family...
