McDonald's — Restaurant in Virginia

The virus thing sure has changed alot of things and not for the better. While driving the better half around for yardsales we stopped in for a couple of burgers and a shake. Drive through was backed up so I decided to go in and get the food. One person in front of me that had already ordered and was waiting for their food. Ordered mine and started waiting. Twenty minutes later I'm still waiting. While waiting I looked up at their dollar menu, what dollar menu. The only thing on it for a dollar was a Small drink. The McDouble that was a dollar is now 2.19. If a small drink is the only so value on the menu then I wouldn't waste my time putting it up there, I'd find it embarrassing and an insult to the customers. For 24 minutes I waited for my food while everybody ran to take care of drive thru. My money and my time is just as important as drive thru customers. It's not confined to just THIS McDonald's as I'm finding that at any of their locations. Food was good and the people nice but if you cant find the time to treat ALL your customers as equals then lock your doors and only do drive thru. I'm sure I can find another place willing to...

I was at this establishment the night before last and as I went through the drive thru like I normally would a young Gentelman had taken my order very pleasant and friendly... I pulled up to the Second window to get my food then I asked for some salt and ketchup he responded “oh sure” ... he asked “is this enough” I said “yes thanks you” as reached out to grab the sauces from him he tossed it at me like We were playing catch. Everything was just like a normal experience at McDonald’s.... but that was not acceptable I could have opened the bag that he handed me (thankfully not tossed that as well) and he could have placed the items inside. He also could have worn gloves to solve the situation if he’s worried about contact during the pandemic. Now I know why their was a terrible mess at that drive thru window. He even could have sat the sauces on a tray for me to grab like I have seen at other establishments. But for him to literally throw the items and me like we were playing hot potato is very unprofessional and disrespectful.... no good...

Inside was closed. We are hauling a camper and unable to go thru the drive-thru. Again, pulling a camper; it was also difficult to pull into a curbside spot.....luckily no other patrons were in those spots as we had to block them all....(thankfully I have the app and was able to order online). The service was quick, the coffee was hot and delicious!!! The blueberry muffin was more like yesterday's leftover, but still tasty. In hopes someone that makes decisions will see this (not a complaint, but a suggestion), being so close to the interstate, especially on a Saturday morning, it would be great to open the doors at 6 am rather than 8 am. The VERY SHORT time we were in the parking lot, at least 3 others, not including myself, attempted to go inside. One lady with a little girl, im sure was in need of the restroom. Families depend on McDonald's. Kids love it, moms love it, and its always a safe place to stop when traveling. Thats my 2...
