Food is ok (seriously guys it's McDonald's) but the staff is absolutely awful. Well at the management level anyway.... So I've lived in the area since way before this particular McDonald's was built. It used to be so nice but recently they've hired a few managers that are less than decent to their workers. So of course that's going to make a difference in the food. One manager in particular, a white haired older lady, is particularly nasty to the staff. Twice we've been there and have witnessed this female being abusive. The first time a worker running the front said she had to use the restroom and the manager ran in before the worker had a chance, laughing. More recently, this woman was arguing with a staff member about taking a break. The worker had not been on her 30 minute break and had been there all day. The manager said no. She asked again and the manager told her to clock out. This is not ok!! And thus the workers don't pay attention to your order... I've had half my order forgotten or wrong.
1/10/2022 : Changed my rating as of today. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I live approximately 1 mile from this McDonald's. Depending on the day, you either have the best service or worst. Today...the worst. It started from the moment I hit the drive thru. The lady taking orders MUST have had a bad day bc her attitude was the nastiest I've experienced in quite a while. I always try to be understanding bc I know they are mostly kids and have to put up with customers' attitudes. Knowing this, I am always pleasant. ALWAYS. And it takes A LOT for me to be pleasant being in menopause. I digress....I simply asked for her to please write that I needed a plain hamburger bc it was a special treat for my dog. Well I didn't even get the words out. She cut me off (which is a pet peeve of mine) and said ma'am it's written up there. Ok so I let that go. I then ordered a happy meal and was again rudely cut off. I paused and bit my lip before I said something. Did not complain. Did not get angry. But I did sit there counting to 10. Anyway: Got to the window. Same female. She was speaking so low I couldn't hear what she was saying. I smiled and said wow that thing (the a/c) is so loud I'm having trouble hearing you! Rolled her eyes and yelled what she was saying. Just absolutely insane. Customer service is evidently not taught by McDonald's. There was absolutely ZERO reason for her attitude. I'm sorry if she had a bad day but you don't take it out on customers; especially those of us who are making an effort to be nice even though we are encountering rude employees. After this, I pulled up to the 2nd window. Employee was nice. All correct food was in bag. As I'm pulling away, I reached in and got a French fry. Everything was cold. Figured it was just my food. Nope. Got everything home and it was disgusting--cold, hamburgers had holes in them, hamburgers were salty. My husband got the 2 for $6 quarter pounder with cheese and big mac with a large fry. He too said the food was cold, his burgers actually made him feel nauseated. In conclusion, I will drive down to the Parham rd McDonald's from now on. Read moreI just had the best experience I have ever had at a McDs. My husband and I went to grab a quick bite before we head to Williamsburg and this is our closest McDs near our home. (We go often) Today by far was the best ever! We came in to dine in and was gonna order using the touchscreen but my husband's order was unable to be customized correctly so we had the cashier take our order. He was a very young nice man. We could tell he was new but was very polite and didnt let the nerves of being new ruin his mood. We paid and went to fill our drinks, that is when the Manager came up to us and asked what our special request was. We were a little puzzled because the cashier seem to ring up our order correctly but we retold the Manager. Then we went to sit and the same Manager brought our food and it was not all there and he said ok I see what happened and told us he would be right back with our missing item. And he was, then he told us that the cashier was new and he really wanted to make sure we got what we wanted . We did and so much more. I can say I have never had a bad experience at this location but it never WOWed me either. Today changed that. What an amazing trip to McDs! Read moreI made a purchase on 9/30/23 at 6:50a via mobile app. Unfortunately I never received my order because they were closed due to what I think was a fire. (Firetrucks were out front) any how I was still charged. I went to a different location and ordered spent an additional $22, I asked if I would still be charged the young lady said no because the order was or would not be confirmed so the pending transaction should drop off. I waited and next business day I notice I was still charged. I go into the establishment only to be greeted by the rudest associate by the name of Wendy. I asked for a manager and another associate comes out and I will say he tried but the end result was not what I expected. He took my name and stated another manager would be in contact. Well that never happened. I file a formal complaint only for their response to be I needed to return to the location for a refund. So I in turn go back a 2nd time for the mgr to take my card claim to give a refund and unfortunately that was not the case. I asked for a receipt and one was not provided. I know I’m only 1 person but McDonalds will never see a penny from me. If it was $5 I wouldn’t even care but it was $18. In this day in time for the next person this could be a great hardship.
