THIS MCDONALD"S BY FAR, IS THE WORST MCDONALD"S I HAVE EVER EATEN AT!!!Let's just say that I never bother writing a review when it comes to fast food. But at today's prices equals quality and service it just doesn't add up at this McDonald's location...So I really feel I must.
First let me state that I've lived in the area for 10 years and have had the displeasure of watching this location shrink in all areas of service. There hasn't been one single time I can recall in over a year that I've used this McDonald's as a quick stop for Lunch or Dinner that I haven't been cheated. Whenever I purchase a 20 piece or higher McNuggets they always short the box at least 2 to 3 pieces...that in the long run helps them pocket thousands from their drive through customers. I've had them short me Hash browns on more than one occasion when I stop for breakfast...the lettuce on their Chicken Sandwiches is wilted nearly every single time I purchase one. And what's worse is when you ask for something a certain way such as half and half sweet tea the drive through attendant will lie straight to your face and tell you they've done it after you ask several times to be certain...and clearly they haven't. And forget getting a full McFurry that you will pay $3.00 for. It amounts to maybe 6 or 7 small spoon fulls. I spend nearly $30. to $35. every time I visit this place I get cheated in one way or another.
It seems that they have also replaced their drive through staff and to add insult to injury they aren't friendly or as courteous as the last people they had there. My advise for what it's worth... take your business elsewhere.
From now on I plan to drive the extra mile to the McDonald's on Rt.1 Jefferson Davis Highway or stop by the Walmart to pick up my food..it's much better there... and they get your order right no matter how busy they are. Until these new owners and managers get it through their heads that it's not okay to rip off their customers this is one less customer they will get in the future.
Not every visit is like this... and I'm not bashing the taste of their food. It's just not right to cheat your regular customers.
PS.- Now I'm bashing the taste and freshness of their food as well. Well, I made the mistake of ordering from this location again tonight. Again, I was shorted McNuggets, and let me just say that the Grilled Chicken Sandwich's were disgusting and disgraceful. OMG!!! They had to have been sitting under the hot lights for hours. The Bun was fresh(sort of), so no doubt they did the old bate and switch to make it look as if it were fresher than it was. The chicken was like a hard peice of rubber, the lettace was so wilted that it was soggy and was hanging off the sandwich, the tomatoe slice was so mushy that it basically disintegrated under the pressure of my trying to bite into it. There was no honey mustard sauce and it tasted like holy heck. I fed it to my dogs and even they ere reluctant to eat it. And my dogs will eat just about anything...even dirt. So it say's a lot about that sandwich when my dogs turn away from it. I know what you might be thinking...this lady said she'd never eat there again and here she is back to complain again. Well, even I have my moments of weakness. I was starving by the time I arrived back home and thought Ijust drop by for a quick bite for myself and my kid...and once again they are true to form. The only way this McDonald's gets any business at all is from weary travelers that jump off I95 to grab a quite bite to eat. Otherwise, I do beleive they'd go under. In fact, I wish they would. Micky D's on 610, you...
Read moreI don't post negative reviews about McDonald's, because I do expect the worse most of the time here (between forgetting parts of an order, etc), but this really tipped the iceberg. I was already having a bad, stressful day, as well as being tired and having a major headache, but I decided to pull in and get something for my son and eventually myself. I made a mobile order online for a happy meal and decided to go through drive thru for a change, since it didn't seem as busy at first (so I thought), and it's been a while since doing so. I get to the window, and a lady answers, and I tell her my mobile order number, but then I asked if I can add an oreo mcflurry. After asking that, some guy takked over her and said we don't have ice cream. I thought it was weird, but I said that's okay, nevermind then. In my mind I knew he was lying, so I decided to order again, just one oreo mcflurry on the app and see what would happen. I decided last minute I didn't want it anymore, so I called to have them cancel it. The lady I spoke to said we have ice cream, and didn't know why someone would say they didn't. She mentioned they would give two, so I'm like okay, I'll turn around real quick to come back. I walked inside and waited a couple minutes. I forgot that I had it for curbside, so the guy (who I'm assuming said we didn't have ice cream) walked past and I said excuse me, is that just the one oreo mcflurry? He said, for Rachel? I said yes.....I watched him make it too, and they usually mix it up after putting the oreo topping on top, but didn't (go figure). He handed it to me, "dabbed" saying deuces (maybe, or something else not sure) then mentioned have a great day. Maybe it wasn't really supposed to mean anything, but I just found it funny for someone who told me there wasn't any ice cream, brought it out to me (who it might be, not sure, just making an educated guess).
I guess I'm typing this because there was nothing done to make up for it, even after I called. If they couldn't have added something to order, after already placing a mobile order, that's one thing, now if you could and just didn't want to, that's worse. I know it's McDonald's and all, but it doesn't take much to be a decent human being. It's still a job, and should be treated as such, and not having employees acting/talking any kind of way to customers, or acting unprofessionally.
I tried to call back again if they were going to bring out a second one or even cancel the order (more in hopes of canceling since I left already), but since the conversation was going nowhere, and I was already, and I didn't want to go back and forth over a mcflurry, I just said nevermind, thank you, and hung up.
I just wish I could get my money back for this, but I...
Read moreI am so disappointed with how this was handled I wanted to order the gold edition snack wrap, a sweet tea, and a Diet Coke. However when taking my order they put a ranch snack wrap meal a sweet tea and Diet Coke and then when asked if that was all I confirmed that it was a gold edition snack wrap and they simply added a single gold snack wrap to our order and told us to pull up. Knowing this wasn’t correct we spoke with the women at the first window that we just wanted the gold edition snack wrap but she insisted that’s all we had on our order and that it came with two and was cheaper that way. Very confused I just paid and asked for my receipt because she didn’t give anymore information. Looking at my receipt and seeing the issue was still not fixed I pulled up to the second window and the woman simply grabbed her manager who apparently took our order and began arguing with me about what I had apparently said when ordering and she had zero intention of fixing my order or having a conversation with me she then blurts out you want large fry? What? I am so at a loss and feeling very confused and frustrated but just say ok at this point because I have already been charged for more food than I even wanted at this point and would just like to not escalate this further. I am asked if I want any sauce and I ask for some good sauce and told that they don’t have any anymore by the woman working the drive thru with her manager behind her who is no longer speaking to me. I am so done at this point and I am handed my bag and the window shut in my face only to discover I wasn’t even given all the food I paid for!!!! I open my bag to find 2 fries and a single snack snack wrap and to top it all off my Diet Coke is regular coke not diet and my sweet tea tastes off(I usually love McDonald’s sweet tea and order it every time) I have no interest in driving back to this McDonald’s just to be yelled at and bullied by the manager so I will never be returning to this location again and telling my friends and family to do the same unless they want the same unprofessional...
