Paisano's Pizza — Restaurant in Virginia

This almost terrible experience was saved by an excellent employee who turned it around and made me a lifelong customer. There's a happy ending, here!

I just moved to the area and I have young children so I was too tired to cook. I found Paisano's in Ashburn and when I ordered online, I missed putting in a promotional code... My mistake. I did love that they have guest checkout and I didn't have to make an account!

I called the store and asked them to apply the code for me. Employee couldn't do it and said I should just cancel and reorder online. Hard to do given my caretaker responsibility and really annoying that I have to start over. I look at my email receipt and can't see a way to cancel the order. I try online and I don't have a way to pull the order up by order number or contact info to cancel it. My stress levels are rising.

I called the store back. This time, I spoke with Tabitha who I asked to cancel my order. Before confirming, I asked her if there was a way she could apply the promotional code so I didn't have to start over. She said she could! Stress levels fall and I'm elated that I don't have to restart and juggle my children. Seriously, thank you, Tabitha. You made my night so much easier.

The food is great here and I love how Paisano's is offering a variety of accomodations...

When a child (anyone's) safety is involved - I have to say something. Yesterday (9 Jan 2021), I personally witness the most dangerous driving of a Paisano's delivery driver. It began with the driver squeezing me out of a merging lane, into a residential area. The speed limit is 35. It was VERY clear the driver's speed was well above the posted limit. The driver only slowed down because he quickly overtook another car traveling at the posted speed limit. By pure coincidence the driver turned onto the same street I had to turn on and drove to the house just two doors down from my parents. I think he thought I was following him. The small street he was driving on has cars on both sides which can create a "blind" bend in the road. The speed limit drops to 25. There are kids basketball hoops setup so they can play in the street. If this is the kind of drivers Paisano's employs, I certainly will not be ordering from them. The food quality at this Paisano's has been steadily declining over the last year or so. I have ordered takeout from there on several occasions, but last night was my last. I don't know if they are under new managmenet now or what, but the quality boarders on horrible. We ordered three items, all of which were either incorrect or sub-par. Their pizza tasted horrible and was so soggy, that the entire middle of the pizza had to be scraped off of the box with a spatula. The second item was supposed to be an order of cheeze ravioli, but we were given an order of chicken parm instead. It's quality was only slightly that above grocery store ready meal quality. The third item was a traditional Gyro platter. It had an insane amount of feta cheeze on it, to the point where I was wondering if the person that perpaired it was making one for the first time. I love feta, but not two cups of it on a Gyro - Insane. It also tasted fairly soggy and stale, like it was prepaired hours before or something. Overall, very poor experience. The two previous times I have ordered from them, the food was merely "OK". There are too many decent Italian take out places in Ashburn to waste your time...
