Who doesn’t Love a good local restaurant!!! I try to dine Local as much as possible and a few nights ago my family ate dinner here. So apon arriving no no staff were there to welcome us. A sign said to find a seat, my family found a booth. My wife went to wash her hands and a server came over gave me one menu and said a mother server would be over to get our drinks. Ok, one menu maybe they were busy you might say. No only one other table was taken. Crazy, I had to walk over to the host stand to get another menu. Because no one was even around to ask. After about 15 mins I would say. My wife and I had already went over the menu and knew what we wanted. Before our server even came to the table for our drink order. Crazy!!! My wife orders some of the fried cheese ravioli for us and a sandwich, I ordered the baked lasagna it comes with a side salad and bread roll or garlic bread. Crazy to think the price for garlic bread is the same as the salad and regular bread. But I choose the side salad and regular bread.
The fried raviolis came out and they were first of all Meat and second half of them were cold and no even fried all the way, you could look at them and tell. Thelooked as if they had de-thawed and stuck together and they did not cook right. We had to wait again to tell our server that they weren’t cheese and they were cold and not completely cooked. What a great start to our first visit. Our food came out shortly after. My side salad was as normal chopped ice burg with some croutons and cherry tomatoes , although I did have to pick out the brown wilted ice burg lettuce out it was fine. And the bread was good served with butter tabs. My lasagna was a small portion compared to another local establishment but why not. The sauce was good covering the baked lasagna, the combo of ingredients were ok the noodles were super soggy. Not the best. My wife had the Itailian sub toasted, it was your average sub great bread. But it was so dry we asked for mayo. And again having to wait for our server. Who just tossed the cup down and walked away. WOW. After the mayo the sub regained some moisture, opening the sub you uncovered they only used one pice of cheese cut in half it literally had disappeared.
They after eating we had to call another girl to ask our server for the check.
Ending this review AKA the book. I would suggest take out or if you want a nice family Itailian meal go to Rosa’s better food better staff and it’s close by. Don’t waste your time I don’t know how the reviews are as high as they are. Service was horrible, and the food was cheaply made, food cost vs good food. Great food can afford crappy service but ok food needs great service. Just go to Rosa’s pizza down the street and around the corner you be happy you...
Read moreWhen you're planning to have a party of people up there, don't preorder the dishes because you do not get what you pay for. A word of advice, each individual/group should order separately and pay their own bill. The service was horrible, they brought out a couple of food trays, which supposedly serves 30 people per tray, but only serves 15 at the most. 10 meals, comfortably. They brought out the pizzas that we ordered and they were bland. They insisted that we order pitchers of drink because they didn't want to run back and forth refilling people's drinks. They charged us $7 a pitcher instead of $6.50 a pitcher (menu price), no free refills, multiple pitchers of the same drink, $7 per refill of any pitcher. We will never hold this kind of get together again there. Most of the people, that paid into it, didn't get anything to eat. Many people contributed (over $500). So when the people who were still hungry wanted to order, the waitress was nowhere to be found and people were told to go find her, and that they needed to order from her. Needless to say, our family didn't get to order any food, they could've made more money, my mother wanted meat cannoli and I wanted meat raviloli, nope she was gone. Later on, she comes to the table, while we're giving the guy his going away card and she interrupts the party, saying she needs the person who is paying, up front right now, very rudely. I wanted something to eat, we left there hungry, after spending a lot of money to have this going away party. Most horrible experience at a restaurant that I've ever had. Waitress did not deserve $100 tip, she was very rude and wasn't attending to the party most...
Read moreLate last night a friend and I went to Pietro's for pizza , a place we've been going to for many years. I can only speak to their pizza, as it's the only item we've ever ordered but It's very good pizza. I grew up in NY and NY is known for it's pizza (some of the best in the USA) and Pietro's isn't quite up to that standard but it is great pizza. We always load ours up with 3 different meats and last night it was loaded. They also allowed us to do half tomato sauce for me and half white/garlic sauce for my friend. He loved his but did feel it was a bit heavy on the garlic. If you love garlic, get their white sauce. He also ordered a Cannoli which was heaven. I would normally give this place 5 stars, never had a bad meal there and the service is always excellent. Our server was attentive and extremely nice, everyone there is. The problem is this place has decided to implement a policy I've only encountered once before, of charging credit card customers more for their meal. I was a little surprised to see this on the check, it worked out to be about a 4% added charge to the bill. I had not seen this on the front door or the menu, maybe it's there and I had not noticed, but it detracted from the entire experience. Carrying cash is becoming less and less popular and I know credit card companies are charging businesses enormous fees on their end, but some places just raise their prices, our meal was not cheap, so seeing another charge on top of the tax was a bit much. I don't agree with this policy, or in other eateries an automatic tip added . Eating out becomes more and more expensive and in the end it only means people eat out...
