Hear me out...they have a PB&J Burger and it is fantastic. As a caveat, the J stands for pepper jelly, so you're not getting some weird grape amalgamation, you're getting spicy, sweet, tangy, and savory perfection atop a danged fine burger. I did add lettuce, tomato slices, and (most importantly) bacon to mine, which in my opinion are all a must.
The burger patty itself was richly flavored beef with an expertly done chargrill to the outside and a wonderful peppery Angus taste. Add to that a buttered and perfectly toasted bun, crisp lettuce, tangy fresh tomato, hearty bacon, rich peanut butter, and succulent pepper jelly and you have, literally, one of the best burgers I've ever had, hands down. This was truly a culinary experience and I loved every minute of it. I hope a snide Frenchman reads this and is offended at how wonderfully grandiose this uniquely American meal was.
The fries were also perfectly done, hot and crispy, lightly breaded to give them a sort of potato wedge vibe, and served fresh and well salted like God and Teddy Roosevelt intended. Nothing sat under a heatlamp or waited in back here, it was all hot off the presses.
You may notice I used variations of the word perfect a lot. This wasn't an exaggeration or hyperbole. Piggy's well and truly got the food perfect every single step of the way and I will absolutely be going back to enjoy the atmosphere, the reasonable prices, the generous portions, and the...
Read moreWalked in unsure if we were to seat ourselves or wait for someone. We didn't stand there very long before a smiling waitress told us to have a seat wherever we would like. The place is very open and modern. Nice atmosphere tv's positioned nicely. We came in for a late lunch around 2:30pm. Not crowded. Quite a few people drinking at the bar. The paper menus we received had food stains on them that's kind of nasty. Our silverware was wet...dried them with the napkins provided. The menu has lots of great choices. So let's talk food. 1st meal The Club sandwich on sour dough very tasty however extremely dry, substituted fries instead of chips. Fries were cold, probably would be great if they were warm. Seasoned very well. Ordered potato salad it didnt show up had to ask waitress for it. 2nd meal Reubin sandwich on marble rye. This was a very delicious sandwich served warm. Also ordered fries...served cold, asked for ranch dressing when order was placed, had to ask waitress again for it. 3rd meal Ham and Swiss wrap create your own was very tasty. Ordered applesauce which is served in the little plastic cups you can buy at the store. It didn't show up had to ask waitress for it. Now with that said the applesauce was very good. Noise from the kitchen extremely loud only a curtain between kitchen and dining area. Will try again maybe in a few months they have some things...
Read moreMy husband’s coworker highly recommended this place to him so we stopped in as soon as they opened Saturday after running errands. We walked in and they let you pick where ever you want to sit. The layout is really nice and everything is very clean, bathrooms included. The bar also looks really nice and the TVs are placed well. Our waitress and a woman I assume to have been the owner were both really nice and you could tell they were both sweet people. We got the loaded fries to share, and then I got the PBJ Burger and he got the Black and Blue Burger. We substituted the side fries with coleslaw and potato salad. The loaded fries were good, the fries had the perfect crunch and seasoning. I would like to see them actually be more loaded though. More cheese for sure and maybe even sour cream or some sort of sauce. The burgers are served with a pickle. I had no idea that I needed peanut butter and pepper jelly on a burger until the moment I bit into that thing and it changed my life. SO GOOD. And my husband loved his as well. The meat was cooked absolutely perfect. It was so tender and juicy. Burgers were absolutely 10/10. The coleslaw and potato salad just need a little bit more seasoning in our opinion. I really liked the style of potato salad, just had to add some salt. We’ll for sure be back and I’m confident this will be one of our new...
