Santini's New York Style Deli - Sterling — Restaurant in Virginia

Santini's New York Style Deli located in Sterling, VA is reminiscent of the New York delis in many respects, but from an ambiance perspective its not the same. Not to say that is a problem, I am very familiar with delis in New York. This deli is laid back and pleasant with a very friendly staff. The interior of it is better than any New York deli I've seen, so that's a plus. The decorative she of the restaurant is New York teams, so if your missing home you won't here. The pictures,pictures, and televisions running sports activities is not overbearing, but subtle so as not to alienate non-sports enthusiasts. Now, the food is good, with a variety of choices of a local pizzeria. But be advised the servings are large, so you'd better come with an appetite. I ordered the Santini calzone with pepperoni, Italian sausage with ricotta cheese and mozzarella. It's large an appetizing especially with the Mariana sauce on the side served warm. Santinis use to have great customer service. It’s gone downhill with the ladies they have working up front. I called in an order for curbside and the lady sighed on the phone like she was annoyed that I asked for curbside. At the end of placing my order I told her the vehicle I would be in and she sighed again, again sounded annoyed and said ok and hung up. It is super disrespectful, if you don’t like your job then look for another one. Don’t take it out on the customers requesting something you offer and something reasonable. This place is one of my go to’s but if I’m going to get service like this I’d rather go elsewhere , I know of other people I’ve spoken to who have said...

Now I normally go to the one in Chantilly. I was out here in Sterling and decide to go there. Did my normal grab a drink and stood there waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence to order. Then had a couple of the ladies stare at me and continue on with there conversation. I mean at least the Chantilly location acknowledge you and lets you know they will be able help you in moment. The Fairfax location usually can get order in quickly. But no one in line just standing there with drink while girls talk.
