Twice this week I tried to get a large decaf coffee (I cannot consume caffeinated products) and both times I was told that they were out of decaf. The first visit was shortly after 12:00 noon, and I was told that "we don't have decaf after 12:00 noon, because there is no demand for it."
So today at 9:45 AM, I tried again, and after waiting in line (I waited in line the first time, too), I was told that they didn't have any decaf. I spoke to a Supervisor, who told me that they don't have decaf after 7:00AM! After telling him that I had tried earlier in the week and was turned away because they didn't have any decaf, he said that they could make a "pour over" for me. I asked why that wasn't offered to me on my two attempts to get a decaf and he said he didn't know, but he would be glad to make one for me.
I chose to leave the place. I called the Starbucks customer service number, explained what had happened, and the lady at the other end said she would process a refund for the two Starbucks gift cards. After spending a considerable amount of time on the phone, and having provided my email and home addresses, she told me that both came back as being invalid! I repeated both back to her and they still came back as being invalid. I eventually told her to forget it, and I hung up.
The ONLY reason I was in the Starbucks was to use two gift cards I had received. Both of my experiences with this Starbucks location were far below expectations.
If you only drink decaf, DO NOT waste your time stopping at this Starbucks. You will be wasting your time. (Although, if you take the additional time to speak to 5he Supervisor, you MIGHT be offered...
Read moreThis review is for Chaney. If you’re not Chaney, just keep scrolling.. kidding, read this and take notes.
Narrative. It’s 6am, a snow storm is imminent. The Starbucks’s line has 7+ cars in line already.
Immediately, I notice the line is slow moving. I am trying to decide if my $8 coffee is worth being 5 minutes late as I sit in park in the drive thru.
I won’t say how long I waited, but I can see through the window that there is maybe 3 people working, possibly 4, but there’s several customers inside as well.
Chaney comes over the speaker- an unusually friendly voice that I’m not used to at this store, and upbeat energy and let’s me know it will be just a moment.
Chaney sounds like a total vibe so far.
Chaney comes back on the speaker box, clearly unbothered by the amount of people flooding through Starbz at the crack of dawn, & takes my order. In an effort to allow fellow coworkers to catch up- she makes light casual conversation and her upbeat energy is contagious and fun. Chaney turned my day around with positive energy flowing from a simple attempt to do her job well and make the best of a possible staff shortage with more 6am customers than I have ever seen at that exact minute in months.
As a manager myself. employers beg for employees like Chaney, who show up for work with a great attitude in hard times and always leave the consumer with a positive experience regardless of any surrounding issues or personal life trials.
Chaney is exceptional. More people should be like Chaney. & Chaney’s energy has inspired the morning huddle with...
Read moreI usually have a pretty pleasant experience at this particular location. But on today’s occasion, not so pleasant.. JACE was absolutely rude and aggressive in her tone with me. I was picking up an order that was clearly ready and waiting in the designated area. She repeatedly asked me was I doing Uber and I kept replying with the order name. I guess that upset her that I didn’t answer yes or no so she became louder and aggressive. I then pointed to the bag showing her that the order was in the pick up station and taped close, appearing to be ready. She aggressively pushed the bag towards me as if to brush me off.. absolutely unprofessional.
Starbucks employees are supposed to be Customer service friendly & she was not!!! Had she not tried to engage other customers into our disagreement, I would have never written this post.
After receiving the order and leaving the store I over heard her saying things. I then returned to get her name and as I walked in I could hear her still engaging with customers about what had just happened. I politely asked what her name was and she did not respond. After just telling another customer that she was going to ignore me, as I walked in. I was never rude to JACE, maybe she was just having a bad day. Idk but if that’s the case, she shouldn’t be at the front counter representing Starbucks, with...
