Really never do this but I feel compelled to share my experience. Where to start?
We were excited to try Pecking’s for dinner, especially since the interior and ambiance looked nice. Unfortunately, everything else was a letdown.
I ordered the “Happy Family” which is supposed to come with a mix of chicken, shrimp, scallops, and steak. When it arrived, the smell was overwhelming—like bad meat or spoiled sauce. It was so off-putting that I couldn’t even finish it. To top it off, there was way more vegetables than meat, and the plate just didn’t seem worth the price. They give you plain white rice and spring rolls as sides, and I was told it would cost extra to upgrade to fried rice. For the price I paid, I expected more.
My fiancé got the General Tso’s Chicken, which actually tasted pretty good, but again, the portion was mostly vegetables and only a handful of chicken pieces. It felt like they were cutting corners on the meat portions to make up for it.
As for the service, the waiter didn’t seem too interested in being there. I mentioned the awful smell of my food, and she actually smelled it herself. To her credit, she offered to remove the dish from the bill, which I appreciated. I still left a tip, but I was really irritated that a restaurant would serve food in that condition.
Overall, this place didn’t live up to expectations, and I won’t everrrrrr be returning. It’s overpriced for the quality, and the experience was just...
Read moreThree times in a row my order was wrong! I am very disgusted about this. Nobody wants to take accountability for anything. Was never offered my money back or a replacement.
I asked for no peanuts because I have an allergy to them yet they always put them in there anyway. I'm lucky I always check for this before I eat. Otherwise they would not be getting a review but a lawsuit.
I go out of my way 20 minutes to get there because the food used to be pretty good but after three separate orders and every order was wrong each time. I should not have to check the order in my car. After working 14 hours a day as a R.N. I just want to grab my food and go home. There are plenty of other places to eat and my money is good anywhere.
When you call to place an order and you specifically tell them" I have an allergy to peanuts please do not put them in there" and they still do this it is a HUGE concern to me. EpiPens are not cheap nor are Emergency Room visits.
Never once have I got an apology, never once was I offered a refund, and I was never offered a replacement either. All I got was $30 thrown down the drain every time I went there. I called spoke with several different people and never got a response from the manager or the owner. That's very...
