My favorite Chinese restaurant in the Chester area. We have been frequenting this place for over a decade. I am happy they have reopened for dining-in after being only carry out since the pandemic. Interior has been updated and remodeled. Ambiance is nice, bright and open. Food is always consistently good and tasty. Texture and flavor of the orange chicken is delectable. The Singapore noodles is my favorite dish to order. I loved the rainbow vegetable mix with fish. As with every other restaurant the prices have went up and the portions are smaller than they used to be. I still recommend this restaurant over the fast food Chinese places because the quality is worth it.

I think it’s the best Chinese food in the area. I’ll drive the 35 minutes to get it . Singapore noodles, fried rice, and Green Pepper Steak with shrimp and broccoli added was the takeout meal tonight. But I haven’t had a dish I didn’t like. Also, I haven’t had any other place that compares to Peking. They may come close, but if Peking is open I’ll always choose food from there first. Inside is being remodeled, but you can do takeout and online ordering.

Really wanted to take my Mom here for lunch on Sunday. Checked the website to make sure they are still open, as I haven't been in this area in a while... Opens at 12 noon. Great. Picked her up, went there, parked, get out... they are closed for renovations...................... :( really? Could you have posted that on your website? I drove 40 miles to pick her up, and another 20 miles to the restaurant. ugh.

Really never do this but I feel compelled to share my experience. Where to start?

  1. Last customers of the evening. Came in around 9, restaurant closes at 10. There were 3 other tables occupied. Expecting not to wait long but sadly was the opposite. Took 45 minutes to get our food. In that time our waitress checked on us only to take our order and after a long time, to bring it out.
  2. Food came out, we were starving at this point. Expecting hot delicious food but no; food was cold. We literally took everything to go just to reheat ourselves at home. Was not going to take it at all but the manager insisted that we had to pay for the food; he cared more about the money than our dining experience. His response was "not sure why it was cold but we 'reheat' the duck before it comes to you." (Did he really just say that?!)
  3. Aside from the food being cold the three simple dishes that we ordered were mediocre. A whole Peking duck: cold, dry, tough $27. Chicken and broccoli: decent taste but again, cold so it took so much away from the meal. Also, asked for brown rice with my meal, waitress responded "sure," food came out with fried rice. I stated, "I asked for brown rice," she responded "that is brown rice." (The color) I had to explain to her that brown rice is a different grain of rice than the jasmine rice they use to make fried rice. I gave up after she said, "so do you want white rice then?" Crab Rangoon: nothing special; much better at my local Thai restaurant. First and last time at this low...

We were excited to try Pecking’s for dinner, especially since the interior and ambiance looked nice. Unfortunately, everything else was a letdown.

I ordered the “Happy Family” which is supposed to come with a mix of chicken, shrimp, scallops, and steak. When it arrived, the smell was overwhelming—like bad meat or spoiled sauce. It was so off-putting that I couldn’t even finish it. To top it off, there was way more vegetables than meat, and the plate just didn’t seem worth the price. They give you plain white rice and spring rolls as sides, and I was told it would cost extra to upgrade to fried rice. For the price I paid, I expected more.

My fiancé got the General Tso’s Chicken, which actually tasted pretty good, but again, the portion was mostly vegetables and only a handful of chicken pieces. It felt like they were cutting corners on the meat portions to make up for it.

As for the service, the waiter didn’t seem too interested in being there. I mentioned the awful smell of my food, and she actually smelled it herself. To her credit, she offered to remove the dish from the bill, which I appreciated. I still left a tip, but I was really irritated that a restaurant would serve food in that condition.

Overall, this place didn’t live up to expectations, and I won’t everrrrrr be returning. It’s overpriced for the quality, and the experience was just...

Three times in a row my order was wrong! I am very disgusted about this. Nobody wants to take accountability for anything. Was never offered my money back or a replacement.

I asked for no peanuts because I have an allergy to them yet they always put them in there anyway. I'm lucky I always check for this before I eat. Otherwise they would not be getting a review but a lawsuit.

I go out of my way 20 minutes to get there because the food used to be pretty good but after three separate orders and every order was wrong each time. I should not have to check the order in my car. After working 14 hours a day as a R.N. I just want to grab my food and go home. There are plenty of other places to eat and my money is good anywhere.

When you call to place an order and you specifically tell them" I have an allergy to peanuts please do not put them in there" and they still do this it is a HUGE concern to me. EpiPens are not cheap nor are Emergency Room visits.

Never once have I got an apology, never once was I offered a refund, and I was never offered a replacement either. All I got was $30 thrown down the drain every time I went there. I called spoke with several different people and never got a response from the manager or the owner. That's very...
