A good stop for gas, food, or a restroom break Wawa is a convenience store chain primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region. It was originally named Wawa Food Markets and started as a dairy farm in Wawa, Pennsylvania, in 1803. The company evolved over the years and opened its first convenience store in 1964 in Folsom, Pennsylvania. It has grown in popularity and location and as of January 2022, there were over 900 Wawa stores across the United States, primarily concentrated in the Mid-Atlantic states. This is one of the many sites of this store in Petersburg, Va. Depending on which exit you take off the interstate this is either very close to i-95 or several miles. The Wagner Road exit is much closer. Like most stores of this chain, it has parking right in front of the stores and lining the lot near the street. There is a set of gas pumps and the store has restrooms, hoagies, coffee, and quick bites. The store has a convenient self-service touchscreen ordering system for hoagies allows for customization to your heart's content. The coffee selection is good, catering to different tastes. Outside and inside the store was clean, including the restrooms. The layout is well-organized, making it easy to find what you need quickly. The staff is generally friendly and efficient, contributing to a positive customer experience. Overall, I had a very good experience and, with the exception of taking the wrong exit to arrive here, would recommend this stop for...
Read moreI really like Wawa stores. I am from Long Island, NY and I have always said that I wish they would open a Wawa near me. My husband loves Wawa coffee, so I always go out of my way to stop and get him some coffee. (We even order online and have our own Wawa Rewards card⌠in NY!)
Well today was not any different. I took pictures outside of the store because I was happy to see a Wawa while on vacation with my family and eager to share my experiences on social media. However, today was the first bad experience that Iâve ever had. I must be clear, it was not because of the store as the food was great, as always. The service was unacceptable. An employee named Ericka (Sp?) really needs to take some classes of customer service. I think she was upset because we had a big order. I heard her saying, not directly to me but to her friend in a very loud manner that she âwished people will learn how to use the app so the food will be ready when they arrive.â
We had six different orders and weâve never had an issue in the past, but this young lady couldn't stop being sarcastic and extremely unprofessional toward a client whoâd just spent $59 on food and & 20 on coffee. So, sad to say that this lady made me do this but I am extremely upset of how disrespectful she was towards me...
Read moreIt is 16Nov18 at 2137hrs and I just left this location with disappointment. I ordered a sandwich and ask the young lady that was making it to please change her gloves. I asked her because the sandwich she made prior to mine was pork. I just did not want to get sick. Her funky attitude was immediate. She changed her gloves while rolling her eyes. She started making the sandwich with a funky attitude. Another young lady finished the sandwich since she was in her feelings about me asking her to be a great customer service representative. I did not ask for anything extreme. Young lady who are in the wrong profession if you do not want to help customers. Customers drive the business. People like her make me not want to spend my money at a Wawa. I will spread the word to my family and friends. So please tell the young lady with the not so great customer service skills that ticket 340 says thank you for a job not well done. No...
