The location of this hotel is perfect. We were close to a lot of restaurants, bars, banks, and theatre.

Customer service: It was okay. Long wait at times to talk to someone up front. 2 times staff walked into our room. Multiple times walking up to the lobby area staff were in their cellphone.

Cleanliness of Room: Bed was clean and well made. The restroom was very clean and fully stocked. The floors were very dirty. Seemed like no one swept swept the floors.

Room accessories: All of the soap, shampoo and conditioners have a grassy smell. If you don’t like that smell bring your own. You also get makeup remover towelette, cleanex, blow dryer, iron, iron board, coffee, tea , water, and a super cool full body mirror that lights up.

Bed and Pillow comfort: pillows were so comfy! The bed was a type of plush pillow top. It was very comfy. Slept very well.

Room temperature: you are able to control the temp. Which was great!

Curtains: you have curtains that cover all light and a second set that is translucent if you want sun light to come in. Slide open and close. Very convenient.

Tv: you get a smart tv which has access to Netflix, YouTube, I believe it had Hulu as well. Utilized Netflix and never had trouble with it freezing or anything.

Food cater: breakfast was great! Had bagels, fruits and coffee. The toasters were not working. Staff had to come out numerous times to fix it. Eventually one of my friends tried fixing it instead. Had the same problem for 2 mornings. Lunch was amazing had, salad, enchiladas, beans and rice. The second day we had pasta and salad. Double check your silverware. Multiple of my friends received dirty silverware. One of my friends had a cracked drinking glass. Ensure to double check before you eat.

Gym: all I can say is the equipment here is amazing! I truly enjoyed my gym time. They provided towels, wet towels in the fridge, water and fruit. They had 3 threadmills, 2 elliptical and 2 bikes. They also had dumbbells, a corner with weight machines and wedges to lay on. This was Probbaly one of the better gyms I have seen in a Marriott.

Overall for being a Marriott I felt like the expectations should be higher. I would still recommend it just...

Very nice Hotel and the room was comfortable on the 7th floor. My issue is with their HOUSEKEEPING POLICY!!! Shame on whoever instituted the way they are currently doing things. We reserved a room for 4 nights Friday pm 11-27-2020 through Tuesday Am 12-01-2020. Saturday No HOUSEKEEPING. No big deal. So early Sunday Am I called the Front Desk and asked how to request HOUSEKEEPING. The Clerk explained the NEW HOUSEKEEPING policy and said don't clean the rooms everyday. But she said that that she would have them service the room while we were out 9Am - 12:30 Pm. When we returned to the room with our lunch and it still was not cleaned. The Maid was cleaning across the hall. So we figured she would clean ours next. So we went downstairs and ate our lunch at one of the tables in the Lobby. When returned to our room, it was still not cleaned. So... I called the Front Desk again. I reached the same clerk, she assured me that she put me on a list. I told her very calmly, look... I just need someone to remove our trash from all the take-out containers due to all the Restaurants being closed for dining and some clean towels. I refuse to put my trash out in the hallway!! It looks horrible!!! She said let me put a code in the system to make sure your your room will be serviced on Monday. For the time being, she finally sent up a maintenance guy with towels and a trash bag. Okay I am a little happier now but it is no excuse for poor customer service and poor HOUSEKEEPING practices. Fast forward to Monday. I was out of the room all morning till about 1pm. When I returned, it was still not clean. Oh well I give up!!! Guess who shows up at 2:30 the maid!! Finally!! 4 days into our stay we get the proper cleaning of our room! Unreal! The Hotel kept advertising with signs, on TV and with stickers on the door about sanitizing everything every 7 days...?? Really? Wouldn't it be everyday!!! That's fine, But you have forgotten good ole HOUSEKEEPING policies to help keep things clean!! I know you are trying to save COSTS but not at the expense of cleanliness!! I just looked at some other recent reviews and I am not the only one with this problem!! Go back to the basics PLUS keep the place...

Came in for business and decided to stay here for the night.

Pretty modern looking hotel; it's near the convention center, so it's set up for big banquets and events and stuff.

Booked a single king room. The room itself was pretty nice; it had a nice little nook where you could kinda eat, or lounge around.

Bed - Decent for a hotel bed. I never like hotel pillows because they're too soft, so take that as you will.

Bathroom. This is where I kinda had an issue. The shower pressure was okay, but, the set up is a little strange. The door in my room was rather large, so the door fully swings open and shut about an inch ahead of the front of the toilet. That same door when fully opened, makes the shower feel super tight, and I'm not a big guy, so for me to have a weird thing about it definitely says something. If the door is closed in the bathroom tho, it doesn't feel as tight, but that makes the transition in and out a little awkward if your door is open.
Last thing I had for the bathroom was that I had a leaky faucet that I could hear faintly throughout the night. I just turned on some white noise and slept through it, and fortunately, i was just there the one night.

TV setup was nice and modern; they have Netflix so you can log in and watch if you wanna do that.

Check-in was simple and easy. The lobby has a new look and very modern. Checkout experience was also very simple.

Overall it is a nice hotel with plenty of amenities. Gym was a good size and there's an outdoor pool, both of which I didn't use. There's a bar there too so that's always a plus, and there's a coffee spot in the lobby where the dining area is as well. Bfast is not included btw.

Parking - not a huge lot and I can see it getting packed easily as this is a fairly busy hotel...we were there on a Wednesday and the lot was full when we arrived at 10 at night. We still found a spot tho...and it's a gated lot, but you get in and out access with your keycard.

This is a central location to Visalia so there's lots to eat and see walking distance. Would come here again if I had to...

When I booked, I booked through the BONVOY app. As a Goldmember approaching platinum, I am rather fond of the Marriott brand, but I’ve never had much success booking any upgrades through the app, by simply booked a sixth floor or higher room, with the preference of being closer to the elevator, and without a blink of an eye was checked in to a second floor room, looking out over a rooftop That I can climb out my window and walk around on that included a tarp being held down by cinderblocks, maybe to prevent from water leakage into a lower floor. I was happy to see that the staff was interested in providing me some minor accommodations, which included a free breakfast coupon but unfortunately that did not really improve my mood about the idea that I was guaranteed some thing using the app, and I had to bring it up to them before they even realized that I was promised some thing like that. Overall, this felt like a mildly upgraded Motel 6 with nice fixtures and better shampoo. In all reality at this point, I would’ve preferred the outward facing door so I can get some fresh air and decent views over the rooftop that I got to look at staring at a comfort inn. Overall worst Marriott experience I’ve ever had and I’ve stayed at a number of Marriott properties to include residence Inn, Fairfield Inn, and other names. 1 out of 10 would not recommend this property.

I would not recommend staying here, especially considering the price tag of about $333/night that I paid. I was laying in bed when I found a bug on my bed. I brought the issue to the hotel lobby staff and I was informed the hotel was full, actually that it was oversold by one room, so they could not move me and told me he couldn't help me further. Hotel staff did not offer to fumigate or anything other than he couldn't help me. I asked multiple times if there was anything else they could do for me and was told no. I would have felt better about the issue if the front staff at least showed that they cared about what I was going through, but honestly felt like he didn’t even care. Even having earned status with Marriott didn’t seem to matter here. I couldn’t checkout early since I had prepaid for the trip and the front desk said they would not be able refund the remaining two nights. Wondering if there are more bugs in your room is not a good way to rest. This really hurts the rest of my trip since I have two more nights in this room. I would not stay at this location again and I would not recommend it! The only reason I picked this hotel was because for the location. Though not sure at this point if that’s worth it given my experience during this stay.

We stayed here for one night over Labor Day weekend. Booked the executive room, and paid a little more for it hoping that the rooms would be in tip top shape. They were not. The room we stayed in needs maintenance. Bad. You can tell a lot about a hotel from how much their rooms look like a college dorm. Walls torn up, water damage on the ceiling, broken vents, doors don't close right, etc. Everything just looked worn down and needing repaired. And while the beds looked clean, the detailed areas were not. Things like baseboards, outlet covers, switches, corners, etc. Were all filthy. You can tell they put lipstick on a pig. I'm not sure what it is about these chain hotels, but ever since the pandemic they just don't care about cleanliness or keeping things looking new. There was a time when I could stay at a Marriott and not have to worry if the room was going to be nice. Names don't mean anything anymore. I did think the guy at the desk who helped us was very nice. The hotel was fully booked, but he did send someone up to clean the room again (they didn't do a great job still, but not his fault).
