Pros: Great location in downtown Visalia & the design is gorgeous! Wouldn't be out of place in Santa Barbara or Napa. The bathroom (tucked away upstairs) is great! Unfortunately, as other reviews have mentioned, there are quite a bit of flaws to mention about this place. First of all, it is definitely confusing what you're suppose to do when you enter, there is an upstairs area that is a "sit-down" place with a bar, but when you wonder up, nobody really greets you or asks where you'd like to be seated. Downstairs there is what appears to be 3 different counters, but you really only order at one, where the beer is poured, but the food isn't picked up or made there, so that's kind of confusing. There also appears to be some sort of ice-cream, coffee stand...? That wasn't in use? Or.... was it? No signs directing you where to go and nobody greeting you at the door to assist you or welcome you in. Anyway... this wouldn't really be that big of problem, however....the food quality and value ratio is just not there to warrant much of a second visit. We ordered 2 sandwiches, which were just alright... I mean it's not that hard to make a good tasting sandwich, some good melted cheese, some good sauce, a toasted bun... The funny thing is, their original location is famous for "cheese", but none of their sandwiches seem to have any cheese in them.....? Anyway, the sandwiches don't come with any sides, no chips, no salad, no soup, no drink, nothing! And, they're pricy to boot, like over $15! The salads, on the other hand, would be the way to go, if we were to return - they are HUGE! And enough for 3 or 4 people to share, quite frankly. The salad our table ordered was quite good.
Honestly, if you're looking for really good local food, in a similar atmosphere, try Heirloom in Fresno, or, you'll get better value and flavor at Panera... Sad to say.
With all this said, I do really hope they take some of this feedback to heart and revise their menu, value proposition and higher a few customer-service minded folks to improve things. This town could certainly benefit from a place like this that gets all the...
Read moreOkay, so this has moved up to #1 as our favorite spot for dinner! It was our first time and we had no idea the treat we were in for when we entered the 2 story beauty. BRAVO, Bravo Farms! This restaurant is gorgeous with a chill yet classy vibe. We headed straight upstairs and got a table that overlooked the first floor. The lights were dim (perfect for a Tuesday night) and we were greeted by Kaylissa with a smile. We bombarded her with a few questions about beer choices and dipping sauces and she didn’t miss a beat, taking her time to inform us what the options are. -Appetizer: Candied Brussel Sprouts 5/5! If only all brussel sprouts could be this scrumptious. I think there was a feta cheese in them and some red bell pepper? We didn’t care, we ate them and will 100% order them again. -Meal #1: Tri tip nachos: 3.5/5. They were good, but next time we’d ask for some jalapeños or something to make them spicier. We tried a sweet and spicy sauce, but that didn’t go well with the nachos. They were LOADED. Two people can easily share these and still have some leftover. Meal #2: Bravo Philly w/chicken: 5/5. Delicious! It’s gonna be hard to order something different next time. This melted in my mouth and I dipped it in the chipotle sauce. I was so full after feasting on the other plates, but finished this bad boy. So good! -Sweet Potato Fries: 5/5. Bomb! Just how they should be- crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. -Kaylissa: 6/5! Good service is hard to come by these days. I don’t think we expect much, but it’s just so nice when a server is friendly, pleasant, attentive, and just makes you feel at home for a short time. So, thank you, Kaylissa.
Overall Experience: 10/10. We’ll be back...
Read moreOrdered our food downstairs, asked the girl if I could order a drink upstairs. She said yes. I went upstairs, there were multiple seats open at the bar. I stood behind 3 empty seats to order a drink and Elliot the bartender told me I had to order my drink on the other side of the bar. I walked over to that side and noticed a waitress, I asked if she could take my order and she said yes, I pointed to the table I was sitting at. I waited for about 10 minutes, nobody came. I saw one of the girls from downstairs pass by and told her what happened, she said she would send someone to help me, she said I should have ordered everything upstairs, she was nice about it but i didn’t know there was a difference and it seemed I was being treated differently because I ordered my food downstairs . The same girl tried to find our waitress but came back and said she could take my order because she wasn’t sure who was in charge of my section. She wrote our order down, about 20 minutes go by and no drinks. There were two guys who sat next to us and also walked away because nobody checked on them/took their order. I asked to speak to a manager and was told one was not available. I noticed a really nice girl from downstairs tried to ask Elliot to help and he snapped at her. I went to speak to Elliot and he was also rude to me. I asked who my waitress was and he told me “I’m only the bartender I don’t know” . He was extremely rude and escalated the situation. All the while this was happening a couple sat behind us and they ended up walking away because they weren’t greeted by...
