Servers here served us 3 dirty plates upon arrival with food and crumbs on them when we handed them back and asked for new ones we got attitude and eye rolls from our waiter twice because we found a 3rd dirty plate a few seconds later after checking the rest. The first time I let the attitude go the second time he took the plate with a dirty look and rolled his eyes neither time apologizing or speaking to us.I then calmly asked someone else to speak to a manager because I didn’t want someone who was so rude to wait on our table a second employee came mumbling rude stuff under his breath as he approached our table. My daughter asked what he was saying he said “Well he brought you new plates didn’t he?” Then stormed off all mad that we had asked for the manager and threw his hands up all dramatic and mad as if we should accept the rude behavior and new plates and shut up.I realized the manager was another employee who had been watching the rude waiters storm off from our table and did not come to our table to ask if we needed anything. When she came over we explained the situation she explained she told him to walk away from us because she was concerned not for us but for her employee feeling uncomfortable and “unsafe” which was very dramatic no one was yelling or cursing or being confrontational we shocked we were being shamed for asking for clean plates when I explained how rude the waiter was when we asked for new plates she said she didn’t know what happened,as we were explaining to her what happened, as if to say she didn’t believe what we were saying.Meanwhile the first waiter was telling his story waving his arms and telling all the other employees in the employee area by the kitchen. Then our new waiter came as we were speaking to her and waved his arms aggressively over our table as if to stop an imaginary fight and raised his voice and cut me off while i was very calmly speaking to the manager separately about our complaint and yelled angrily “ok are we going to order or are we going to keep talking about this!?” Since when do employees cut off customers conversations with the manager? The manager did not correct him either or apologize for any of their behavior she let all the employees be rude throw temper tantrums at our table and was quiet and let the third waiter interrupt our conversation with her as if she was not in charge. So apparently you should eat on dirty plates or be treated badly if you ask for new ones also dont expect any manager to be any help she let the young male employees there throw fits and be confrontational with our table and your also not allowed to make a complaint because the employees will cut you off while speaking to the “ manager” This was all very unprofessional they all seemed ready to attack us.Our party of 8 came for a birthday dinner it was very much ruined. We got up from the table and left right after we realized talking calmy to all four employees was not working we realized all 4 employees were saying rude things having attitude teaming up and not being apologetic we all couldn’t believe how we were being treated and how they all got so angry at our table for sending back dirty plates and would not apologize. Our family had to get up and walk out being the bigger people here as they sarcastically told us to have a nice day.We went and had our dinner at Strings the food was great the service was great we had no issues no rude waiters and no dirty plates. We loved Olive Garden before and went their regularly we give good tips were a respectful family and have never had a confrontation with any servers before this was absolutely shocking. Will definitely be...
Read moreThe food is all right for what it’s worth but they really need to rethink their training process. The wait staff is doing a good job but I really don’t want their corporate training culture in full display in my face every time I walk in here. They’re always training new people in front of the customer. It’s overbearing having two people tower over you as you’re ordering. It just feels weird and dare I say unauthentic! I thought maybe it’s a one time thing but nope! Keeps happening almost every time. It’s not rocket science! Hire the right personality, trust your people to do the right thing and stop your role playing in front of the customer. Customers want to ESCAPE the corporate culture when they dine in. They don’t want to be cuddled in corporate “fakeness”— it’s nothing that can’t be done out of sight. I just want to clarify that they are nice and attentive but it’s overbearing and gets old having two people attend to you at the same time every time. It’s as if they don’t trust their people to do the right thing and have to keep looking over their shoulder. It’s unnatural and feels like another corporate metric type of thing they are trying to achieve. This is a newer thing I haven’t experienced before in all my time at different olive gardens in the state. Please stop this practice. As a customer I’d be happier with just the waiter giving me their attention instead of their boss looking over...
Read moreWe've only been twice to this particular Olive Garden. Both times it was a super long wait. We were told to get online and put ourselves on the waiting list it would get us in faster. At the time we called we were told for a table for two would be 30 minutes. We got there a bit before the 30 minutes. We still waited at least an hour more after we got there and checked in. They said they were cleaning a table for us as we came in. There was no where to sit to wait because people were all over a lot standing like us. Once we finally were seated the staff was great. My daughter really liked her food it was stuffed something. I ordered spaghetti and meat sauce. I did not like it at all it was very dry and the sauce wasn't very good. I felt like I was just eating dried out noodles. The sauce didn't even get to all the noodles. There wasn't enough. Obviously people eat there because of the long lines. I noticed a lot of parties leaving as we were waiting. Along with a lot of people waiting. I did see a lot of people leaving because they didn't want to wait. So this is my experience. I probably won't go back unless my daughter really wanted to. I don't know if I would eat...
