I went to Best Buy 2 days ago to go purchase a GPS and while I was there I asked one employee who was with another employee just next to me who were discussing about an item they were putting in the middle ilse. I asked if they can assist me and one did however he wasnt familiar with a GPS let alone what I wanted. He pretty much told me, "Whatever is on the shelf is what we have." I asked if he can check if any are in stock in the back and his reply was that I needed to find the employee who is in charge of it. So of course i left disappointed being that I really didn't get any help.
Well today I went back so I can ask someone if they can check the nearby Best Buys to see if they had that GPS in stock but I decided to give it another try first and ask someone else to help me. Although, the store was busy with last minute shoppers I decided to see if maybe someone different could assist me however I couldn't find anyone. I saw a GPS similar to the one I wanted in the shelf but I wanted to confirm it was the correct one.
I contacted one of the employees in the TV section and he went out of his ways to give me a price check explain the difference on both, overview and specifications. In the end the last one was the expensive one. However, he did not stop there and tell me the typical excuse that some use, "Sorry whatever is on the shelves is what we have!" He told me to wait while he went to the back and see if there are anymore and if not he was going to assist me in finding Best Buy near our area who would have it. Read moreI have been doing business with Best Buy for years. I would drive to the Fresno location long before Visalia had a store. Sad to say I will never make a purchase at Best Buy ever again. I will visit Best Buy to look at product and demo it but once I decide on my purchase, I will buy from Amazon. I purchased a Bose speaker from Best Buy only to find out it was too small for the room I put it in. I took it back to Visalia Best Buy to purchase a bigger Bose speaker. Unfortunately I caught Covid and was not able to return the speaker until 20 days after the purchase. The store policy is 15 days. The GM Ernest Lovato who was extremely rude informed me that he would not do the exchange because I was just outside the return window. I called Best Buy customer service and spoke to a supervisor who hung up on me. I was very polite with the Best Buy employees that I spoke with. Needless to say this $149 Bose speaker that I tried to return for a $399 speaker has turned in to a complete nightmare. You would think this rude GM Ernest Lovato would be eager to take more of my money yet he made a bad business decision for the company. Ernest should not be in the decision making capacity whatsoever. Had I originally made my purchase through Amazon my return would have been effortless. All I did was waste my time and gas purchasing from Visalia Best Buy. Next time you are in the market for anything that Best Buy sells, make sure you get it on Amazon. Read moreI found a lg g4 on bestbuy.com for 1246 dollars used. I have the the lg c4 that cost the same price. I returned the c4 to buy the g4 and the lady in the store tried to mark up the price to over 1500 dollars. I explained and had shown the web site price marked for this particular store in visalia and she said she didnt know whats going on with that site but its not the price. She then said its for delivery online price only, to which I then showed her that it isnt available to be bought online and says only available in her visalia store. She said no still after showing two different supervisors. I called the best buy hotline and they were more confused than I it seemed, and couldnt understand why they were doing this to me. I specifically asked if i had done something wrong to be treated In this manner and both of them said i did nothing wrong. I brought my tv all the way down to the store and returned it only for them to rudely treat me In this manner. I was given dirty unwelcoming looks from the get go to which i do not understand. Everything in these stores is documented with sound and video so please best buy play it all back for the world to see that I was courtious and polite as could be considering. I put two stars instead of one as the 1800 person i spoke to ethan had tried to help me and was very comphorting to me about the way I was treated. So remember folks in the future if online it says specifically in your local bestbuy a certain price they can tell you a much different price and be rude to you as well for no reason at all....
