The food was amazingly wonderful. The service¿ Unfortunately I felt the need to not tip, her attitude was some of the worst I've ever experienced. My holiday cocktail ordered was grey goose with fireball float and a lemon twist. That means simply about a tablespoon of fireball on top of the grey goose. Not difficult. Spending too much time BSing with bartender (feminazi) cocktails finally come. No lemon twist, no cocktail napkins. So I said she'd forgotten the lemon, I do need a napkin/coaster and obtw, I'd like a straw. She acted like something was wrong with me. Bill comes, I'm charged full price for both grey goose and fireball, $20 bucks, I don't think so. I questioned, another 10 minutes later the feminazi bartender hands me bill again revised. I'm told "He" whoever that was, was kind enough to remove but NEXT time.... So all the way around serviced sucked. Upon leaving the blond server came out the building just as we were getting in the car. She turned around went back in. I started car day her now coming towards my car as if to confront, I pulled away from the front curb into the street. From my side mirror I see her stomp across the street to other curb only to them walk back to Depot side, then back again she went across towards Charlie's. I believe she freaked because I stiffed her. Gratuity is based on service, her attitude and service sucked, as did the bartenders. Food was outstanding, obviously needs...
Read moreThe restaurant is set in an impressive historic railroad station. Unfortunately the food and service are no match for the opulent surroundings. The food and service at our Thanksgiving dinner was mediocre at best, especially considering entrees were priced a la carte at fifty dollars and up. Upon arrival we were seated at a noisy table facing the kitchen door and had to request a booth that turned out to be cramped and uncomfortable. Service was spotty with the entrees arriving far apart and the wrong orders brought to our table initially. Drink and bread refills had to be requested, and they were served clumsily by amateurish helpers. The food itself was palatable, but far from what you would expect to get at a top tier restaurant in any big city, especially at these prices. Overall, it satisfied our curiosity to try this place once but we will not be...
Read moreHad received notification of a Mardi Gras day(2/25/2020), which “seemed”to include all 3 of the restaurants: Vintage Press, Depot, and the 3rd of this group. Having had a number of great dining experiences at the Depot, I made reservations for 2 for lunch, on Open Table. Restaurant was not busy, server(not a hostess) seated us in lounge, did not take my name. Server had no idea about the Mardi Gras thing, no special menu...should have been huge warning flag. So.. no “Cajun”, no Mardi Gras, and server, while pleasant, got both orders wrong. Shrimp instead of Snapper, no Yukon potatoes, no avocado on burger, bread not refilled, ended up with a 2nd cocktail that I didn’t order...AND while the food was good, it was NOT worth the cost. Server was distracted, and did not listen well. So very disappointed, won’t be going...
