I was looking to try a brew pub while in town for business and stumbled upon Brewbakers. It was moderately busy, but I was able to get a table without any wait as a single diner. They had a chalkboard above the bar with their current taps, and I decided to take part in their Oktoberfest. Within a reasonable amount of time a waitress took my food order and I decided to have a Reuben.
When the beer arrived, I noticed on the first sip that a sour note was present in the flavor profile. Otherwise, the beer was a classic Oktoberfest with a nice malt note. That sour note reminded me of lactic acid contamination a lot of micro breweries experience if their equipment is not properly cleaned. Unfortunately it took almost 45 minutes for my Reuben sandwich to arrive, which left me plenty of time to try another one of their beers. I tried their Euro Lager. Immediately on the first sip, the sour lactic acid note slapped me in the tongue. This solidified my suspicion that their equipment has not been properly cleaned.
The Reuben sandwich was nicely prepared and very flavorful. The side salad that came with it was unfortunately very small, and my request for balsamic dressing instead came with just balsamic vinegar and no oil.
I found the lager to be inedible. Unfortunately, the waitress never asked how my meal was going and only came to present the bill. I paid, left the full pint of beer on the table, and headed out the door. I don’t think I could suggest this as a place to get a beer, but the...
Read moreLet me tell you about the good, just the beer. And now the bad...... Burgers were atrocious, had absolutely no flavor for 3 different ones between my group. The sautéed onions and mushrooms tasted boiled there literally was no seasoning and were raw. You could see there was no cooking marks on the onions and mushrooms. Bacon on the ultimate cheeseburger was extremely bland as well. Nachos were 16$ for melted cheese and a can of cheap hormel chili on the bottom. The redeeming factor fresh chopped jalapeños on top of food straight from the can. The salsa as well was super watered down. We all got sweet potatoe fries which were super thin and over cooked making it to crispy. Our 4th friend got the lemon chicken which was just a lot of lemon on top of chicken. It had no other seasoning and the only flavor was lemon through and through. Genuinely we went in with high hopes and got a solid beer to start. We all were extremely sad and dissappotned when we left. We at least received great service despite the food being atrocious. Our waitress and the other ones around were helpful and did a great job. Learn how to season and sautée food please. I've never looked more forward to brushing my teeth after eating until now. Get a beer and leave don't bother...
Read moreDear Brewbaker’s Team,
I wanted to share feedback about a disappointing experience my party and I had during our recent visit.
We were a group of five ladies with two young children and were told there would be about a one-hour wait for a table. Unfortunately, it ended up being over two hours and nine minutes before a table was ready. During that time, we observed multiple smaller parties—some with children and some without—being seated ahead of us.
I checked in several times with Julia, who at one point responded with noticeable attitude, which was disheartening. After nearly two hours, I called to check again, and was told a table would be ready shortly. I let your team know we had stepped away to walk down Main Street and would return in 10–15 minutes. I attempted to call again to update you but received no answer.
Ultimately, we decided to dine elsewhere, where we received much friendlier service and more accurate communication.
While we understand busy weekends can create delays, the lack of clear communication, excessive wait time, and dismissive attitude left us feeling overlooked and unwelcome.
We hope you take this feedback seriously and make improvements in how guest wait times and communication are managed...
