š½Sit back and a drink, this review comes to you hot and fresh just like the enchilada soup served here at Urbane CafĆ©! If you have read any of my other reviews you know that can be kind of lengthy but indeed honest.š½āŗ ā š(Ambience & seating) Me and the hubby visited Urbane CafĆ© one Sunday 2/28/2021 for afternoon lunch. We thought the sitting arrangements would be difficult because there possibly might be a Sunday lunch rush, to me pleasant surprise though, there was plenty and adequate seating. There is currently no inside dining but there are unshaded tables on their walkway out front. These tables get a little hot being in the afternoon sun, but it is welcomed with the cool breeze. There is also a white pop-up tent set outside in the parking lot with additional seating in the shade if you burn easy like me lol. It was fenced off from the rest of the parking lot, good to note if you have little children and could possibly be worried about a child running into the parking area. There is music playing next to the uncovered tables but cannot be heard from the shaded seating, shaded seating is accompanied by car engines and horns. š„Ŗš„©(Food & Taste) The menu has 9+ deliciously hand-crafted sandwiches, 6 salad combos, 2 protein bowls and 3 soups, that offer a variety of diverse flavor to meet everyoneās picky palettes. This establishment also offers a childās menu for your picky little one equipped with a pb&j on their āfresh baked-everyday in houseā (Owner) focaccia bread and a handful of other kiddo approved dishes like grilled cheese, etc.⦠What did we order? We shared their fresh warm bread with a dipping aioli type sauce that had a sweet vinegar dressing consistency, tri-tip sandwich, southwest sandwich, Baja enchilada soup, and a lemon cookie. The sandwiches came with a side salad that consisted of mixed greens with feta crumbles and mandarin oranges lightly drizzled with their aioli house dressing. The sandwiches were fresh and cooked to perfection, the tri-tip was not underdone and my chicken in the southwest wasnāt overly cooked and was not dry. The Baja enchilada soup was my personal favorite out of this meal; rich, creamy, and packed a flavor punch with beans, corn, and roasted tomatoes. The soup was extremely hot when it was first brought out so a note here to my reader is to let it cool first, especially if you are feeding it to your kids. For the end of meal, we shared a fresh warm lemon cookie that was a bit tart for my liking, but it did have a ribbon of cream cheese in the middle of the cookie to calm down the tartness of the cookie. Overall, the bread is the clear winner here and I hope they never stop making in fresh in house, this bread is better than most others ācompliment breadā and paying the $2.50 for it is well WORTH it! š¢š”(Final thoughts & improvements) 1ļøā£.) Overall the food was incredibly fresh and the owner being there and greeting all new patrons with a smile was a plus. I Would highly recommend eating here and trying the food. The food is geared towards a more health-conscious look but still delicious and satisfying. 2ļøā£.) They had all their cookies that were freshly made displayed in the front next to the cashier behind glass of course which is a good sell tactic, you and your children will want one on impulse. 3ļøā£.) š·Maskās? yes. Wear your mask and stay safe. Every employee was wearing one including the owner and it felt completely safe ordering our food inside. šImprovementsš I would love if there could be low music inside the shaded seating as well to help distract from the street noise. Disability Accessibility, there was a ramp, but the order line and sidewalk are very narrow. The menu was printed on the wall and difficult to read, I would definitely recommend having a few printed menus for those who canāt read the one on the wall, as well as a few picture menus as well for those who...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited Urbane Cafe and was immediately impressed by the welcoming atmosphere. Upon entering, I was greeted by staff members with warmth and genuine friendliness. The menu offered a diverse selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, and more, making it difficult to choose just one item. My order was taken with patience and respect, and the staff, particularly Amber and Alondra, made the experience even more enjoyable with their attentiveness and professionalism.
The beverage options ranged from water and soda to my personal favorite, the agua frescas. The establishment was impeccably clean and well-organized, contributing to a pleasant dining environment.
The food at Urbane Cafe was absolutely amazing and offered a unique experience that is hard to find elsewhere. Their commitment to healthy options and inclusive gluten-free choices makes it a standout destination.
I chose the Southwest Sandwich, which turned out to be one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The bread was soft, warm, and fluffy, the chicken was perfectly flavored, and the cheese was creamy. The sandwich as a whole was a delight, and I would gladly return for it. My side of soup was creamy and rich, complementing the sandwich perfectly.
To finish off my meal, I enjoyed a Snickerdoodle and a chocolate chip cookie, both of which were warm and delicious. These sweet treats were the perfect end to a fantastic dining experience.
Overall, my experience at Urbane Cafe was a solid 5/5, and I look forward to coming back for more. Special thanks to Amber and Alondra for their exceptional service, which truly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been here every time I go to sequoia national park. They have the tastiest and healthy foods, everything on the menu is good. My most recent trip on 2/9/25 I ordered dinner and casually asked an employee (forgot her name) what time they open in the morning. She said ā10:30 amā and I replied āoh I would have getting something for the roads but Iāll be gone before you guys openā. She proceeded to offer āwe will be here earlier to cook and get the store ready for opening. We can make you a meal and you can pick it up, just give us a callā. I really appreciate they went above and beyond trying to help. Great customer service, great foods and the prices are very reasonable. Anyone going to Visalia and sequoia should definitely not miss the...
