I do not think you can go wrong if you want a hamburger that is decent size and well-prepared. Everybody likes McDonald but if you’re in for a change and want something extra give Habit a try. Like any fast food place to pick up a quick bite but considering you pay almost double what you do at McDonald’s it would be nice if they at least brought your meal to the table. However, they give you a hockey puck buzzer that rings when your order is ready and you must go pick it up. Without mentioning names there are several other fast food chains where they give you a plastic number and bring the meal to you. While some people like drive-through we like to sit and enjoy your meal and having to get the meal while might seem picky we rather it be brought to the table and would pay extra to have that happen. We have a choice we actually go to the non-named fast food places that bring your food to the table instead of the others. I do feel the quality is better than McDonald and they have other options such as a mushroom burger, fish and chicken all served on a bun. While the French fries are not as good as McDonald their onion rings are outstanding. While there’s not a lot of seating inside, they do have patio seating which is pleasant on a nice day and we often take advantage of this. While some people have complained about the price it is a little more expensive but I feel the quality is worth it. We have tried take-home and eat in and I don’t know about you but by the time your sandwich gets home it seems to have lost most of its flavor for that reason, if at all possible, we choose to eat in. We have tried almost everything on the menu and it is usually consistently good the portions are reasonable and if you choose a double burger for a little extra money you get two patties. I cannot give five stars for the food because the last time the lettuce and the tomatoes might have been wet because the bun became so soggy I could no longer eat the sandwich and I brought the remaining burger home for my dog. Also, I cannot give a high star rating for service because there is none. You place your order they buzz you then you pick it up. In the past for any fast food restaurant even though they don’t serve you in most cases we always left a tip however with the new $20 per hour I can no longer justify that. People that take your order are usually very pleasant but sometimes in a rush to get your order log into the computer and the last time, the person taking the order seemed visibly annoyed that my wife could not spit out exactly what she wanted as she was studying the menu. Normally if you in line you have a few minutes to look at the board but this time no one was there. Because my wife didn’t immediately have an answer person looked up at the ceiling and seemed annoyed. It made my wife very uncomfortable. While this is not the only restaurant doing it I find that a fast food restaurant that automatically has a section on top almost requiring you to tip is a bit over the top. If I want to tip I want to tip on my own for good service and not be intimidated with somebody watching to see if I check the proper box for them. Some people feel intimidated because of that I never apply to tip automatically and I wish they would...
Read moreFrightening! I give it a one because there isn't a 0 option. Today my daughter and I went to the drive through and were the second car in line at the window. To our utter shock, the employee was leaning and then practically hanging out of the window to interact with a customer in a white Ford Flex. It was obvious that they knew each other by the amount of time that they were chatting. This is not the appalling part, the amount of physical touching between them was odd in a food drive-up. The employee and the customer were reaching out to each other and holding hands and the customer also caressed the employee's face. As we waited for our food, hoping it would be hot, the employee had her phone out to take photos and SELFIES of them together- here is where she is hanging out THE HABIT window. I find it outrageous that during this time-the COVID era- that this could be acceptable behavior. She never left our sight or went to a restroom to wash her hands. WHAT? We asked to speak with the manager and the same employee came to the window. WOW! So, Whitney, the manager listens to our questions about her behavior and whether she is aware of COVID. We expressed our concerns about FOOD SAFETY and health regulations with food. She was rude, looking blankly at us until I asked was she not going to apologize? "Oh, I was just going to " But-she didn't until we asked her too. She was flippant and arrogant when we said that we would be notifying corporate and said her job might be in jeopardy, she replied no it won't. Then she leaned out of the window as we pulled away to yell something directed at us about us not being nice people. Hmmm... This person, Whitney is The Habit's choice for management? They must not have any safe food preparing or health department training, or any concerns about the food being handed to customers. P.S. We were on the way home from my daughter receiving a serious medical treatment and I was headed home to a husband who had very serious neck surgery July 13. Our concerns are valid Also- There were no masks nor gloves on...
Read moreI recently went to the new Vista, CA location and the manager Whitney was incredibly rude in the drive through. First she is touching the hands and faces of someone in the care ahead of us, taking up time for us to get warm food. Then she took selfies with the person while our food could be getting cold. Then she went and just touched our food/drinks without washing her hands or anything.
Do you think it's right in covid times to be touching customers and them touching food?
Then when we went to talk to her she didn't say sorry until we asked for it and was very rude and told us good luck on being nice.
No manager of a store should treat a customer who is already paying higher amounts of food at your locations just to be treated rude and feeling like our food and drinks are unsafe. Especially with the car ahead of us being a covid denier. This is a pandemic still and there should be better customer service AND better care of food. No gloves, no washing hands.
She shouldn't be a manager of a store when she can't follow basic food etiquette and I'm sure there is a place to report you for not doing the right thing.
Get back to me with the reasoning for ALL of this. Then I will be going to all social media channels and reporting your location as being unsafe and Whitney said she would never lose her job anyways. What is that about?
I manage retail and would be FIRED if I treated people this way and wS unsafe with food. I will be reporting to the food safety board. And will be going up corporate to...
