GameStop — Local services in Vista

Requested help from the store manager Rogers. This was the worst customer service experience from a retail store I can remember. He agreed to help me with an exchange only under the condition I purchase a product. When I questioned the ethics of agreeing to help only under certain conditions, he became argumentative and talked over me, suggesting he was doing me a favor. When I continued to question the fact that he seemed to be taking advantage of the situation for a profit, he retracted the offer. Every reputable retailer I’ve dealt with is more than happy to accommodate you even without a receipt. They’ll rescan the unopened/ tagged product and/or check the credit card you used to make the purchase and give you a store credit or refund the money to the card. When I first visited this store it was to buy the PS5. They were so nice and helpful. When we stayed outside waiting, they even offered a jacket and candy. Nice things like that didn’t go unnoticed. Although I went a second time, looking for a headset.. I stood there for 40 minutes trying to decide what I wanted, I wasn’t spoken to or helped and when I finally decided, I went the the cashier and he said that they only had a few headsets available and their choice selections were behind the counter. He was behind me the entire time (behind the counter) and didn’t bother to tell me what they did or didn’t have .. I felt like I really wasted my time and I was upset about the matter but overall, we all have bad days so this place is a hit or miss like any other store. One bad experience isn’t always too bad....

I've had some really negative experiences with the retail associates who work at the El Camino North location, so I thought I would try coming to this spot and it was definitely worth it. The girl at the desk (forgot her name sadly, I remember she had blue hair) was super nice and knowledgeable. I know that GameStop forces their employees to try and upsell things and push memberships, but she was very polite throughout. I'm so used to being harassed about promos by the clerks at the El Camino store that it was honestly a really pleasant surprise. If I ever need to go to a GameStop again, I will definitely be heading...
