Staples — Local services in Vista

Unreliable and dishonest!!! Don’t believe them when they say they can get a job done in a day or a few hours. First, I ordered gloss posters, but hours later, was told there is no gloss left in stock, and they had to use semi-gloss. Ok, fine that happens, but then I get told it will be an hour and half to produce the print order…that would be fine too, except what they didn’t tell me that that is an hour and half minimum for EACH, if not longer (which it turned out to be)! So after several hours of waiting around, I decided to come back another day to pick up the last of the order and for them to do the spiral binding for four thin booklets that included laminating only SIX pages.

I didn’t want to wait around needlessly again so I ask the copy girl point blank: “Will this take a couple of days for you to do?” Her exact reply: “You’re the only customer we have right now so it shouldn’t take long at all.” Hearing this, I decided to run some errands and come back several hours later just to be told, they weren’t done yet. So I go back the next day in the afternoon and guess what, the books weren’t even started!!! I spent close to $400.00 on this project that they didn’t even start the work?!

Never again, I will from now on go to Fed-Ex office for my printing needs. Staples in Vista should have been more honest from the get-go about their stock options and turn-around times rather than lie to keep business, because they lost mine, my companies, and my families...

STAPLES IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT PLACE!!! Last time I went, the employees were reading the boxes on the printer to tell me about the product. I already knew much more than they did. The store looked kind of empty of products, and I wondered if Staples was going to close. THEN, a couple months ago, I saw signs for Amazon Returns at Staples (much closer to my house than where I normally return Amazon products), so I decided to go in. And let me tell you... newly EDUCATED store employees, like Ari, a gem, who knew SO MUCH!! (I went back, just to talk to HER!) And a manager in Vista, CA... Jhankarlo, who made magic after HP customer service wasted HOURS of my life!!! (Educated employees are the biggest draw for me, to get their experience with ie: printer purchases.) ALSO: $10 off coupon each trip you take to return Amazon stuff, which can be used every time you spend $30. WHAT?! I therefore spent time wandering around the store, dictating notes into my phone, to remind myself of what products Staples has that I can shift to purchasing here and saving money vs. purchasing elsewhere. Apparently, they got whole new types of products. GO EXPLORE! Save money! I've purchased toilet paper, paper towels, travel accessories, dishwashing liquid, travel Q-tip and bandaid containers, reusable waterproof ziploc bags, baking soda, travel laundry stain wipes, trash bags, Goo Gone, the Simon game, vinyl gloves, clear...

JANET IS AMAZING!! I don't think I've ever had such a memorable experience at a store like this. She and her manager went above and beyond to try and find 245 ink for my Canon printer. I needed the ink right away because I had a test to print that night and it was due that night as well! So obviously I was in a panic. They didn't have the ink available so Janet asked her manager if they had it at any other store which they didn't. So I told her that I needed to go to kinkos or something to print and she said no you don't have to! We have a computer you can use here and you can even get your document sent here and pick it up and it's already printed! Umm I had no idea that staples did that, AMAZING! she was so sweet. But of course I tried using the computer and I didn't have my log in for school 🤦🏽‍♀️ so I had to go home and get it and I came back right at closing time and they still let me use the computer to print my test.
