I thought my drive-thru experience was going to be in and out and all I wanted was a breakfast combo #22 and ice coffee (sandwich, hash brown, and drinks). Not complicated at all.
My incident occurred on Wednesday, 6/252/25, approximately 7am.
I was greeted and in seconds time I was placed on hold. Not sure why. My hold time must have lasted approximately 5 minutes. There was a car ahead of me and another behind at the time my order was being placed. I was able to see through the windows and saw that there were no customers inside the restaurant. I had my niece in my car and as a witness to my transaction, she too recalls the order (she ordered the coffee). By the way, staff never apologized for the wait.
Fast forward, my order was placed. I proceeded to drive up to the window where a female looking staff hands my order in a large paper bag. As I looked inside the bag, I had noticed hash browns were missing. When I brought it to staff’s attention, she said I had only asked for the breakfast sandwich and not #22. After going back and forth with my claim, I wasn’t sure why she continued to “argue” with me, stating that I did not order #22. I would have thought that as a trained drive-thru window cashier, she would have stopped arguing with me, got my order corrected without question, apologized and allowed me to drive off as a satisfied customer. Well, that morning, I was very unsatisfied.
The breakfast sandwich was alright. Would have been better tasting with hash browns to go with it. Due to lack of time, I was unable to wait for my order to be corrected. Sadly, in this case, I was never offered the opportunity. All staff offered was poor service.
For this review, I left zero stars for service. The drive-thru staff lacked professionalism and quality customer service. That morning, staff had choices to make when I confronted her that my hash brown was missing. Im pretty sure she could have re-rung my order in seconds and if she didn’t know how do it, she should have asked for a lead staff or manager to help.
I highly recommend that drive-thru staff gets re-trained on:
how to speak to customers how to keep customers satisfied how to use a register and troubleshoot
Jack in the Box has been a part of my life since 70s. This incident will not stop me from returning to any of their...
Read moreI came to Jack after a long day of sticking it to the man at the Courthouse up the street. First, you could bounce a quarter of these floors and tables! They were sparkling clean. The staff was patient and accommodating with me while I finagled my way through the rewards app for a solid 20 minutes. After all my effort spent on the app, I came to find out that my beverage of choice was no longer on the menu. Jack always does this to me....I sincerely thought this time it would be different and they would hold onto my thirst quenching first pick.
Begrudgingly, I went to the register preparing myself for whatever subpar second choice beverage I would have to succumb to.
THEN MY BOY (younger gentleman, short dark hair, polite, accommodating, cheerful, hard-working, attentive. Short name...maybe four letters lol I'm bummed my memory has deceived me.) working the register helped me create my caramel creamaccino, through innovation and strife to please the customer, my boy got it done. Kudos. To toss a big fat cherry on top, he made it so perfect I almost cried in delight. Sometimes the Jack's employees get a little overzealous with the ice and a little stingy with the cream base/whipped cream. Not my boy!¡! He nailed it. I was so pumped up. He went out of his way to accommodate my needs while simultaneously not crossing any company lines, charged me appropriately, used materials they already had, did so with the touch of a master barista, and finally was an absolute peach throughout. 11/10!
My guess is this is his first job or one of his first couple jobs...he might be in school still...if so a big round of applause to this young all stars parents. You raised a good one....and he's holding up those values when you aren't around. Which is a sign of excellent character. GET THIS GUY A RAISE!
all in all a hugely fantastic experience, stellar employees, excellent customer service, clean as a whistle, A+ batista skills, welcoming...
Read moreFirst of all, the JBX has the pineapple air fresheners available. The last JBXs I went to did not, with one going so far as telling me the owner was keeping them. I had to remind the window I had bought one but they had them and I finally got one. Tried the Snoop Munchie Meal, as I couldn't tell what it was from the commercial. It's 2 chicken strips in a hot dog bun with sauce. It was OK but it's $4 more than a regular munchies meal and those typically come with fresh veggies so they are a much better deal. The curly fries were crispy but also dry. It's not a big deal for fast food, just a note that they shouldn't be that dry. The ladies at check out were super pleasant. It looked like they were the only ones there so I'm not sure if they were doing everything but the service was pretty slow so its totally possible, plus its dad's day. Not a big deal! But, my meals did not come in a bag, so I got no napkins. I didn't realize until I had already driven off and luckily I keep the spares. Again, not a big deal for JBX, but a note to keep in mind. I almost forgot to mention they offer Boba now, which I was skeptical about but the tapioca balls were made perfectly! The drink was on the sweeter side, but I've seen tapioca made really soft by other fast food places and these were a...
