We've been regular customers of this location since it opened but our experiences with them have been increasingly negative. During the summer of 2016, we would often order their unwiches, and paid extra for additional meat/cheese/etc. They would come completely stuffed and be heavy meals despite the lack of bread. Towards fall this started changing and the portions were smaller but the prices remained the same.
Today we ordered two unwiches and they came with none of the extras we had asked for. At roughly $8-$10 per unwich this was very disappointing. We called the store to let the manager know that this was becoming an increasingly frequent problem. We were told we were lying, that she had made them herself and had put the extras on (but did admit to forgetting the double cheese on one). The manager was very dismissive of our concerns and confrontational.
We have been fans of Jimmy John's since it opened in Volo but this will be our last purchase from them. For what they charge versus what has now become the standard portion size, in addition to the complete dismissal of our concerns, we feel our money is better...

I just moved to the Volo area and decided to swing by this location and see what my new neighborhood Jimmy John's was like. As I pulled in the parking lot I quickly noticed a sign that I thought said Jimmy John's parking only. I parked there and went in only to be told by the woman behind the counter that that was for Jimmy John's driver parking only and that her driver was going to be back any minute and I needed to move. I did move... I moved over this Subway's parking lot and ate there. Call me old school but I was always taught that employees should Park far away from the front door so that customers could park near. I must have it all wrong. Trust me I will never visit that...
Read moreWe are frequent customers of this specific Jimmy John's and much of the time, our delivery order is incorrect. Either there are missing items or the sandwiches are made incorrectly. I have complained to managers on multiple occasions and nothing is ever done besides someone just coming to deliver the missing item. We end up just modifying the sandwiches ourselves when they are incorrect because it would be nearly impossible to contain my hungry children long enough for them to remake the sandwich and then deliver it. Overall, we are highly dissatisfied with the services rendered at the Volo/Fox Lake Jimmy John's and hope that a General Manager, rather than just a shift or even store manager, begins to rectify the problems that...
