Miss Chef Debbie and Chef are so amazing and adorable. When I’m stressed I head to the Magical Sweet Shop and everything just smooths out. This is not a shiny fancy place with a bunch of piped icing and stuff. This place is down home goodness out of grandmom’s Kitchen. The Jewish apple, or pear sometimes, is a must have (100%). The chocolate truffle, make sure that you are in a safe space before eating because, you gonna need a minute. When you first walk in your eye is going to hit the chunk of butter cake, sitting straight ahead on the counter. What is next to that butter cake is what adds to the freshness of Magical. What is next to the butter cake is often a surprise of something Chef just, threw together, cause he thought it might be cool. They have these item on the counter that you should really stay away from. I knew they were dangerous when everyone ahead of me left the shop with one. If you don’t want a new addiction, stay away from the caramel puddles. One day I had the blessing of arriving a few minutes ahead of warm peanut butter cookies recently out of the oven. I almost got into an accident eating them on the way home. Not really, but I was a little concerned. I’m so glad that I found you. Looking forward to soups in the...

Everything is made from scratch... from the pie crusts to the fresh strawberry cupcakes. I love to support a local small business like this, especially one with such a wide variety of sweet baked goods along with savory options as well, like their famous tomato pie, seasonal soups like gazpacho for the summertime (amazing flavors like watermelon, carrot ginger, etc.) and hot soups for cold seasons.
The owners Debbie and Jeff were so sweet and helpful. They put their heart into each homemade item, and it shows! I tried a variety of items including: tomato pie, Jewish apple cake, butter cake, PB&J bar, coconut cherry bar, red velvet cheesecake brownie bar, Banana Misu & caramel drop cookies.
My favorite items had to be the butter cake and Jewish apple cake. Both were so moist and delicious. Everything else was excellent as well, 5/5 stars! I was also able to sample the carrot ginger gazpacho and it was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this bakery for catered events, birthday parties, or just a casual night in when you're craving something homemade and delicious.

Read moreWe just celebrated our daughter’s first birthday and thought getting a cake from the Magical Sweet Shop would be a great idea given how good their other sweets have been. But we were pretty disappointed. I was told on the phone that it would have lots of flowers and it would be “glittery” for her. I could barely see the glitter and there were a few small flowers. The icing was very sweet, but did taste good. The most disappointing part was the cake itself. It was very dense, which was fine, if it actually had taste to it. It really had no taste to it. It’s like they forgot to add the sugar. When the kids were done and got up from the table, the table was full of uneaten cake. It was really sad that we spent $52 on a half sheet of cake and barely any of it got eaten. A lot of people described it as tasteless, dry, bad. I didn’t find it to be dry, but definitely tasteless. It was a huge disappointment. I wish I would have gone somewhere else for her birthday cake. I would NOT recommend this...
