Visit date: 03/04/25 6:30pm Drive Thru Transaction: 1 kids water ice with custard and a Blendini
My husband and I were excited to go to this location because we saw it had a drive thru. We have been to many Rita’s, this is the first time we have had a terrible experience. I am Hispanic and my husband is African American. I don’t want to make it a race thing but from the previous reviews.. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was an act of discrimination.
The 1st young lady that took our order was ok, not super friendly just doing her job I guess. She yelled over the Strawberry Shortcake Blendini order to a 2nd young lady and her response was “what is that?” super loud and the 1st young lady responded “strawberry shortcake is always a Blendini”
The 2nd young lady came over with the kids water ice with the wrong custard. She snatched it from my husbands hand and had the 1st young lady remake it.
She then handed my husband his Strawberry shortcake Blendini (the only things he ever orders) and it looked like a watery strawberry smoothy in a clear cup with no lid. It was runny and with no wafer cookies. From overhearing her response earlier, we knew already that she had no clue what she was doing. We kindly asked if she added wafers to it and if what she gave us was an Blendini, she rudely responded “umm yeah I know what I put in it and what amounts because I made it”. She kept making faces and rolling her eyes as if we were inconveniencing her. There were no other customers in sight. I then asked her for a lid, and instead of giving me an open dome lid, she gave me a beverage lid with a straw insert. Then she aggressively shut the sliding window. Read moreNothing wrong with the food or service. But they need a system for people lining up at the window. People will blatantly walk up and cut in front of an entire line of people who were waiting and they get served as if nothing is wrong. Edit: To be very clear, this was not a pickup order. This person walked to the front of the line and started ordering multiple individual things. And they knew exactly what they were doing so I wasn’t about to argue with the kind of person who would do that. Another problem is that since it’s not clear where people are supposed to line up, when there are two windows open and clearly one line, people will just walk up to one of the windows as if it just happens to have no line. If there were some clearly designated place for people to line up and cashiers consciously took orders from the next person in line, it wouldn’t be so frustrating to go here, because it feels like something like this happens...
Read moreLast two visits in a months span, haven’t been the best using the drive through, both times they’ve screwed up the orders and it’s almost seeming like it’s being done with bad intentions, this location was great for last couple years , now it’s like dealing with customer service from a McDonald’s. Both orders were wrong and when asked to fix it, it comes out worst, not only that I felt sick to my stomach after eating a banana split Sunday the bananas were discolored and I asked for chocolate syrup in replacement of diced pineapple, and I got a bowel of chocolate syrup soup with the Custer floating in the middle, similar to what I experienced earlier this month, they asked do I want a lid I said no need for one, don’t u know the ice cream came out with a lid on it anyway, I’m not a person who enjoys going back and forth so I drove off disgusted, later noticed I wasn’t even given a spoon...
